Sclavos Wines — Attraction in Lixouri Municipality

This was a very pretty stop off on our way back from Lixouri. It’s in a gorgeous setting with a view of the ocean just beyond the vines. They serve a variety of tastings to suit your timescale, palate and budget. We opted to taste just 3 wines as our time was limited and we had a 45 minute drive ahead. It took about 45 minutes. All the wines were all excellent and came with a serving of bread and sweet tomatoes. The guide was very knowledgeable and interesting. She knew her wines! The parking is great and the toilets very clean. Certainly worth a stop if you are around the Lixouri area. It’s just a 6 minute drive...

A very beautiful and welcoming winery, where the vines are grown using a unique biodynamic approach — setting it apart from many other wineries. The winery has been operating for many years and offers a wide variety of wines: Robola, Rosé, reds, and other interesting types. There are 4 different wine tasting options — with up to 12 different wines to try. You can also take part in a guided tour of the estate. Relaxing and insightful wine tasting experience run by a very well informed representative of the winery who explained the peculiarities of each wine he poured in a very approachable manner. A modest and friendly environment with high quality wines. It is recommended to give them a call one day in advance but there is no stress about booking a specific appointment, so the whole experience is relaxing even before you arrive at a charming wine set up setting just a ten minutes away...
