Phaedra Suites — Hotel in Lixouri Municipality

I write this sitting on the balcony of our room on the last night of our 3 might stay here. I really cannot fault it, our stay has been perfect. The room is plenty big enough with the most gorgeous sea view. I’m quite sure the hotel is fully booked but your wouldn’t know it as there isn’t much noise from other guests. We haven’t sat by the pool during the day, only after 4pm for a swim, but not many other people around each time so we pretty much had it to ourselves…and you won’t find a more beautiful pool with a view. The pictures really don’t do it justice. The owner is friendly snd just wants to make sure you are ok and have a great time. We had some nice chats. We didn’t eat here apart from breakfast, but that was great quality, varied and good coffee. I was even allowed to bring a tray back to our room to avoid the wasps which frequent any area with food at this time of year. Eating it on our balcony there were zero wasps so I was hugely grateful for this. As an aside, lots of reviews of various places on the island mention the wasps, but it’s the end of August and hot and we get just as many in some areas at home. So at breakfast loads but maybe only 20m away on our balcony we had none and could sit out and eat and drink no problem. Avoid areas with food and lots of people and we’ve been ok so far. ||||||We loved this side of the island. Really enjoyed Lixuroui, Petani Beach was stunning and not too busy and Kounapetra Beach, 10 mins down the road from Xi was lovely but much quieter than Xi and calmer water. If you are looking for a quiet place, with friendly staff, gorgoues views, a great pool and easy access to other things on this side of Kefalonia then do yourself a favour and book...

We loved staying here. While the village is a little remote from the port town of Lixouri and the approach to the accomodation isn't promising, this very well run establishment is a little haven. You need a car to get around here, but it's a great place to use as a base for exploring. The rooms are large, clean, well appointed and the views are stunning. We were pleased to discover a simple menu here for eating lunch or dinner, as there are few choices of restaurants locally and certainly nothing great within walking distance. Food served on site is fairly good quality and reasonably priced. Breakfasts were also good. The pool is fantastic and a great size for a "proper swim". Amazing views from the pool. Nothing was too much trouble for the host, Nikos and his staff. All were very helpful and friendly. Nikos is keen to maintain high standards and works hard to ensure this. We would thoroughly recommend a stay here as a first choice for the area. We enjoyed catching the ferry to Argostoli and to explore the rest of the Island to the west and south. Petani beach, Assos and Fiskardo to the north also really lovely places to visit. You need to be able confidently negotiate the winding hillside...

An intimate, cozy hotel with a beautiful view of the mountains and the bay with nothing but silence around, only loud cicadas "disturb" the peace.😉 In front of the hotel there is a large, well-kept swimming pool, cleaned daily. The owner is always a smiling, helpful person who puts a lot of work into looking after the hotel and makes sure that the guests are satisfied. The rooms are spacious, equipped with a kitchenette, cleaned daily, free air conditioning works flawlessly. Delicious and varied breakfasts (they also include fresh sweet pastries), everyone will find something for themselves. Dinners are served individually, portions are huge and everything is fresh and delicious. If you do not feel like eating something, the lady (who cooks very well) offers to prepare something else. We rented the car through the hotel owner, after his call to the rental company the car is provided within half an hour. |The island itself is delightful, though visiting it by car you have to prepare for close encounters with goats and even a bull.🙃I recommend Assos - it truly stole my heart. |In conclusion - I have no objections - as I said - a wonderful hotel and a very enjoyable...
