Katharo Plateau — Attraction in Municipality of Agios Nikolaos

Absolutely beautiful, a walk through flower strewn orchards you wouldn’t believe existed in Crete. Easy walking along well made (near deserted) tracks with no significant ascent or decent. Drive up from Kritsa, park by the taverna. We explored over two days first doing a circuit going west towards Lasithi and back, then east towards Males and back the next day. Both walks are about 12km and were finished off with a fantastic late lunch in the Taverna before driving back! You can easily make the walks shorter or longer.
