Highly recommended hidden gem. 💎 There is a perfect new road from the village of Kritsa that takes you through a Cretan scenery with amazing views. The taverna is located on a green plateau, right where the good road ends. The temperature is a bit lower (it’s 1060 meters above the sea), so take an extra jacket in the evening. We arrived here on a very raining day (apparently it hasn’t rained so much in the last 15 years, lucky us 🤦🏻‍♀️), trying to reach the Lassithi Plateau from Kritsa. We were hungry and soaked and we were lucky enough to find Stereos tavern and Kostis who offered us a nice glass of wine and some delicious meze in front of the fireplace.
