We visited the beach as part of a day trip by boat. The beach is eye-catching feeling like as scene from a fifties hollywood movie. The journey by boat took around forty minutes taking in stunning views of Crête, Spinalonga and the Aegean. Turquoise waters change to deep blue then back to turquoise.

The tours normally include some type of barbecue that is cooked on brick grills built into the island. The solitude of the beach and island only add to the appeal. The only downside is that if several boat tours arrive at the same time beach in the sandy part of the beach is limited. Notwithstanding the size of the beach this place is special. Definitely...

Such a beautiful beach! The road getting there is absolutely terrible though, if you’re driving. It’s only big enough for one vehicle so you’re screwed if another car is coming your way. Anyways, the trail isn’t long… maybe 10 mins, but I’d still bring sneakers since you need to walk back up. Make sure you bring your own towel, food, drinks, whatever bc there is nothing down there. I believe you can get to this area on a boat tour so you can look it up. The ocean was calm, shallow and extremely clear. The sand was ver clean and soft. There isn’t much room to actually lay out to tan, and there is a lot of bees. Definitely bring some...

Wonderful beach itself! The place of exeptional natural beauty – soft white sand, crystal clear water, picturesque hills. However, it is very small, narrow and quickly gets packed. Especially during the high season, a lot of boats arrive after 11 a.m. to disembark visitors. Oh, and don't expect to find any amenities like shower, toilets or even sunbeds. The road to the beach is a narrow gravel road on a steep shore, you have to walk on a bushy slope the last 500 m from the parking. If not for the difficult access and lack of space/ shade, I would definitely...

Walked to the beach from Elounda Bay Palace hotel - took 45mins - to see the sunrise. The road across crises on a small bridge beside which are old windmills/towers. Beautiful as dawn was breaking - so quiet. The track is good most of the way but then gets a little rough. Sunrise spectacular. Sadly despite the best efforts of the reserve with rubbish bags available, there's still a lot of rubbish (plastic bottles, food packets etc) in the bushes as you get near to the beach. However, looking out to sea with the sun rising was worth the walk.
