One of the best beaches around the south central Crete. There is a hill to go down/climb from the parking lot but its worth it. You will find a beach almost empty (we ve been in 20 september). There are some nudist people but the beach is so big that there is plenty of space to be far away from anyone. There are some large stones on the beach and at the entrance in the water so bring your water shoes. The water is beautiful and the sand dunes look very good also. The water temperature was very good at the end of september so I would totally...

Stunning, crystal heaven in sea. Avoid hot days. Mixed and nudist beach. From May to September never-ever attempt to go down the dune without proper shoes or you will experience the old greek habit of 'Anastenarides' which means you will get your toes burned. Avoid tip toes, wear closed shoes or have with you any other protection as a pair of socks or neoprene socks. Take at least a bottle of water with you. Swimm or snorkel to the next two beaches (on your right as you...

By far the best beach in this part of the island!! Quite long and the entrance to the water is not very deep, depending on where you are. You could drive to Agios Pavlos beach and then take a rather steep but short trail or drive to Triopetra beach and go all the way left. It takes a bit longer but the terrain is very good, better than that steep trail especially going back (trust me!). Agios Pavlos Sandhills is a nudist beach although a few textiles...

Also accessible from the bend in the road up north, via a small path. Very deserted there, no people, perfect if you wanna go skinny dipping. Beach is sandy, with some larger smooth stones, entry to water is from the smooth stones. Super clean water and beach. No umbrellas, sunbeds or taverns in the northern part. In the northern part I am describing one can find a labyrinth made from collected stones - perfect for meditating while walking - see pictures.
