Paralia Vatses — Attraction in Municipality of Astypalaia

The beach is nothing special, just another beach. The beach bar is the WORST I have ever been to ! We went to the beach bar at 14.30, we sat on a table, not on sun beds. No one old us that there was a reservation though. We ordered coffees and 2 hours later just about time we wanted to order food, the waiter came to us and told us “you need to leave since the table is already reserved”. I am quite sure that they wanted to get rid of us because we only ordered two coffees ! I told them that we were about to order food but now we are going to have lunch somewhere else. Their behavior is Totally unacceptable , they just want to ROBE THE TOURISTS. Unbelievable !!!! Avoid at all costs, doesn’t...

The beach is half organised (beach bar, Umbrellas, sun beds) and half free. The way to get here is a bit difficult due to the long dirt road, but even with a small and old car it is accessible if you go slowly and carefully. ATTENTION: the way is through Livadi, Google maps sometimes shows a very, very difficult way from the mountains, which is way longer and can be dangerous. From the moment you enter the dirt road there's no signal and that's why you can only pay by cash at the beach bar, as there's not Internet for a POS. Funny story: I haven't seen Erietta's comment + I went to this beach by e-scooter. I moved away from the scooter just 10' to take some pictures. You can't pause a session and lock the scooter if you have no signal. Result: the scooter turned off and I couldn't connect to it. So, it had to stay at the beach and we made some friends hitch hiking back by car xD

So, don't come by e-scooter here for the moment. They need to solve this.
