My recent visit to this venue left me with a mix of admiration and disappointment. While the 20€ entrance fee per person grants access to a quaint, aesthetically pleasing space—perfect for a quick photo or a moment of quiet reflection—the experience fell far short of expectations. Despite glowing reviews touting the inclusion of food in the ticket price, we were met with nothing but beverages and coffee, leaving a bitter aftertaste of misrepresentation.
The absence of live entertainment, themed activities, or any vibrant atmosphere was striking, especially given the lack of fellow visitors during our trip. It felt less like an event and more like a silent, empty garden with a price tag too steep for what was offered.
While the location itself holds charm and is worth a single visit for the curious eye, I can’t help but feel the cost is inflated for such minimal offerings. A word of advice: manage your expectations, and perhaps bring your own snacks—just in case.
In short, a visually delightful spot, but one that promises more than...

In the 1970s Konstantinos Boua set out to rebuild it as he imagined a 1930s village to look like. He used old stones and traditional methods to give it its authentic charm. The Kafeneion cafe serves Greek coffee and local sweets inside an old world coffee house. The former school is now a small museum with looms tools and costumes. Workshops line the winding lane where potters and woodcarvers work and shops sell handmade ceramics olive oil and honey. Signs mark spots from the Durrells filming and a trail lets fans follow in...

There are interesting historical things to be seen, souvenir shops with cute selection of traditional and local products and the traditional café where you can spend the credits in the amount of your ticket price. Ticket are a bit pricey, at 10 euros for adults and 5 euros for kids, but considering the fact that you can get drinks at the café in that amount, it's not that bad.
Unfortunately, we didn't had the chance to try out the restaurant/taverna on the premises as it opens in the evening (7pm).
The village has to be even more charming at night, when the lights above the streets turn on.
A must-visit destination when on Corfu, even if you are not situated near the village. It's...
