🫒🫒🫒If you are in the northern part of Corfu, be sure to include Enotis in your list of places worth visiting. A memory to keep and remember later when you return to your homes. Now we know about olives and olive oil, that we love so much, from the first to the final phase when it is on our table served for consumption.. Young girl and her brother, who are the fifth generation in their family that grows olives and olive products will get you trough this story and turn back time in a very interesting way. The museum is a combination of the traditional and the modern, which is what the brother and sister wanted to connect and succeeded in doing it. In a beautiful and modern interior they placed all the tools that were used centuries ago in all stages of production, from tillage to storage. The second smaller room is intended for tasting, where you can try their family's award-winning olive oil, olives, various olive spreads of unusual salty-sweet combinations of flavours and spices, and also olive oil based cosmetic for body, face, skin, hair....you can also buy their products, if they enchant you as they did us. Everything is packed in beautiful packages, taking care of every detail. Support the small business, enthusiasm and wonderful ideas of these young people. 🫒🫒🫒❤️ Ps...
Read moreAt our first day at Corfu we tried this fantastic olive oil in one of the restaurants near Lakones. Afterwards we bought a small bottle for our stay. I have lived in Italy, Greece , France , travelled elsewhere where the olive oild are great (Croatia, Spain…) and using olive oil every day but this one I really loved. Then I said that I can’t leave without bringing one bottle of this fantastic oil with me and we went directly to the oil museum in Vistonas … and I was very surprised in a good way. The museum is brand new. It tells story of ENOTIS family of already 5 th generation and the young and charming gentleman working there is that generation -Christopoulos ( he says Chriss). We came only for olive oil but we have tasted olive marmelade ( that is really interesting and delicious), Corfu small olives (my 2 y.o son was a great fan), beauty products … So all in all we went with 5 packages of goods hoping that it will fit in our luggage.
Advising strongly to everyone to taste this olive oil and try their marmalades and...
Read moreAfter passing through the boiling mountain roads on quadbike. Enotis appeared like the oasis it is. A beautiful must see and taste. It's multi media olive heaven. After a couple minutes absorbing the cool air and marvelling at the classical technology the wonderful tour guide approached and asked if we'd like to join her. Such articulate English especially as the machinery and techniques were so niche. It just shows how passionate these people are for their olives! After the tour was over we entered a heavenly side room where a bench was cradling a variety of olive based samples including 2 EVOs a few marmalades and flavoured oils. The garlic one was insane. So was the tapenade. To be honest as a chef myself, everything was fantastic on the senses. It's all free and in no way are you pressured to buy anything at the end. But you'd be a fool not to ;) Thank you Enotis team for the love and hospitality! We wish you many more successful...
