Simos beach, of particular beauty... BUT, 40 euros for a set of beach beds seems crazy to me! I hope with all my heart that next year it will cost 100 euros, if people can afford it and pay, why not... I've been coming to Greece for 26 years, year after year, I've walked everywhere, I've only been to Mykonos for 8 years, but what started in Mykonos 5-6 years ago and is slowly spreading to other places in Greece, this madness of price increases, doesn't seem right to me at all. I am absolutely convinced that people will discover that there is also a Mexico, Thailand, Bali and why not even Albania at the Ionian Sea, etc., and that everything in tourism does not start with Greece and does not end in Greece. In Kenya on New Year's Eve with Safari, plane, 2 weeks, I paid much less than this summer in Greece. Thus, in a few years I HOPE that a new financial correction will come to Greece, as they have had enough throughout history, to return to reality because the prices in all of Greece have gone crazy and would well deserve a shower cold to re-enter a normality of common...

🏝️ one of the best beaches I have ever been to. The water has amazing colors, it is clean and the sand is fine. You see similar beaches in Aruba for example and this beach is much better than the Maldives or Bali because of the clarity of the water.
Be prepared to WALK if you want to be alone. It’s mostly peaceful and there is no music from bars because there is no electricity! ⚡️ The sunbeds are ridiculously expensive and you get nothing for the price, anyway I prefer being alone and away from people and this is one of very few places you can walk and not be surrounded by people.
💨 The weather on the island is amazing! Sunny every day and not a cloud in the sky. BUT the biggest drawback are the winds! Everything else is perfect but the winds are brutal. I am talking getting sand blasted brutal. Half of the days it’s just a nightmare being on the beach. It’s impossible to withstand it.
Taking all that into account, the place is definitely...

Now, what somewhat spoiled the mood — on the part of the beach where there’s easy access to the water without rocks, there are two rows of sun loungers. If you come with your own umbrella, you’ll be asked to move further away and not sit in front of them (so you don’t ruin the view with your “cheap” umbrella?).
I wouldn’t mind paying for one of their loungers, but wait — what do I actually get for 50 euros besides the lounger itself? Nothing. No changing rooms, no showers, and most importantly — no toilet. The umbrellas are old and worn, and the mattresses are stained and shabby.
In my opinion — and forgive me if this sounds subjective — it comes across as disrespectful and greedy.
If you walk further down the beach and reach another one, you’ll find a lovely café and a...
