Great little beach in a small cove, with small dark pebbles. There are a few trees for shade at the back of the beach. Half of the beach has umbrellas and loungers for rent; the other half is for visitors who want to bring their own umbrella or tent. The sea gets deep very suddenly about ten or fifteen metres from the beach, so you'll have to keep an eye on small kids. The beach has a very relaxed and mellow atmosphere and wasn't crowded the several times we went. Many Greek families on holiday come here, and before dusk many of them play ball games. It's a fun and easy-going vibe. There's a restaurant at one end of the beach (good food, varied menu). At the other end a guy runs a small van selling coffee, drinks, sweets and ice-cream. He makes a great ice coffee :-) There's a car park behind the restaurant. There's also access on foot down a slope from...

The beach is mostly coarse grey sand which you will find on most beaches along this coast, but there is a quiet area at the end (away from the taverna) which has larger pebbles. You can rent sunbeds and umbrellas outside the taverna if that's your sort of thing.
One of the best things about this beach is that it has REALLY EASY PARKING - there is a large car park quite near to both the road and the beach, and no steep narrow road to drive down whilst hoping no-one is coming in the other direction! The taverna is also nice and has a good range of vegetarian and...
Read moreBeautiful beach suggested to us by our hotel owner, he said the locals love to come here so we thought it's gotta be good. Something more than one hour of drive from Agios Nikolaos, a really beautiful cove just down the road, well organised with sunbeds and showers in front of a nice taverna. The water here is crystal clear with lots of fish for snorkeling, a bit pebbly but nothing undoable with bare feet. It's hidden from the winds but in the afternoon, even the water was as calm as the pan, the wind was strong on the beach so we went... after a really, really good day in the...
