Temple of Apollo Ancient Asinaion — Attraction in Municipality of Pylos and Nestor

A very beautiful complex on top of the mountain with a great view! The entrance through the gate is very narrow and a small road goes up to the top. We wondered through the area for a while and you keep discovering new beautiful places.

Σε αυτήν την περιοχή του κάστρου, βρισκόταν άλλοτε η Ακρόπολη της Αρχαίας Ασίνης, και τα ερείπια του Ναού του Απόλλωνα είναι μάλλον από τα ελάχιστα σημεία στο κάστρο που μας το θυμίζουν. Βρίσκεται στα αριστερά μας αφού διαβούμε την είσοδο του μοναστηριού, δίπλα από το εκκλησάκι της του Θεού Σοφίας. Ελάχιστοι κίονες και κάποια πώρινα σκαλοπάτια έχουν μείνει να θυμίζουν τον αρχαίο ναό.
