The Archaeological Museum of Pyrgos really surprised me in the best way. It’s located in a beautiful old building in the center of town that used to be the local market-restored with lots of care and character. Inside, the space is calm and well laid out, with just the right amount of artifacts to keep things interesting without overwhelming you. The labels are in both Greek and English(except the biggest ones - these are only on Greek), and the explanations are easy to follow, even if you’re not a history expert. There are also interactive displays. It’s quiet inside, so you can take your time and enjoy the atmosphere. The staff were friendly and happy to answer questions. Best of all, it’s super affordable, with low entry fees. If you’re in the Pyrgos or Olympia area, this little museum is definitely worth a stop. Currently the street in front of the museum is under repair. There is a paid car...
