Platanitsi Beach — Attraction in Municipality of Sithonia

Although it is one of the best natural camping spot with big trees and great sea it is, on the other hand, one of worst campings for its facilities. Bathrooms are ages old, not cleaned up regularly, the mini market is very basic, the fast food spot is average at best. Plus the no time limit for the gate makes it a very noisy camping during the night time because many prefer to get their cars and visit other places and then return 3 o clock in the morning drunk and drive through the camping with loud music. 2022 review. Nice blue flag beach. It is bery big, with umbrellas and chairs for free(the only condition is to buy something from the bar)- food or drinks. After 5pm there is happy hour with cocktails at 5€. There was a DJ playing a good variety of music at a loud but quite pleasant volume and audio quality. The sand is not very fine but nice. Platanitsi is located about 5km north of Sarti. It is also known for the beach bar which is named Afri-Cafe; the entrance to the beach of Platanitsi is controlled. When you leave the main street of Sithonia, cross a planted area of about 50 meters to get to the camping entrance. From there, as soon as you get the relevant licence, head towards to the beach of 550 meters. It is about a wonderful, sandy beach, divided in the middle by a stream.
