A beautiful beach, one of the nicest I’ve visited. However, be careful about arriving too early. Because we had read that the beach fills up quickly, my husband, our small dog, and I arrived at 8:30 AM. The beach bar was still closed, but access to the beach and the rocks was open. While walking down the path, out of nowhere, a huge and aggressive German Shepherd suddenly jumped out in front of me and ran toward me barking.
My instinctive reaction was to scream, I was absolutely terrified by the dog, which was circling us in a threatening manner. A man came out of a caravan right next to the beach bar, most likely the owner or worker at the bar. Instead of restraining the unleashed dog, he decided it was best to start yelling at us, saying that the dog was guarding the beach. His behavior was disgusting, arrogant, and just as threatening as the dog’s.
An argument broke out between him and my husband, while I was on the verge of a nervous breakdown from fear, for both myself and our little dog, which I was holding in my arms. During this time, another man came out and put the dog in a cage, where, as he explained, it stays once visitors start arriving at the beach. I’m grateful at least he reacted appropriately, while the other man kept shouting and threatening us. When we said we would call the police, he abruptly went back into his caravan.
Other than that, the place is stunning, beautiful views of Mount Athos, clean water, a pleasant atmosphere, and good music. Maybe as a minus for somebody - you need to order something every 2nd hour in order to use the sunbeds. Eating there is a little bit overpriced for what you get. As an example we ordered 2 “burgers”, be careful no one told us that this is not a real burger - its a meat ball served with fried potatoes, the bread isn’t a burger bun but a small half baguette like bread. The size of the meat was good, enough potatoes but for two “burgers” we got only one half baguette and only 1 really small ketchup, 1 mayonnaise and 1 mustard, which is even not for one portion enough. All in all the taste was good, but not a good value of money (30€). Do not go down to the beach if you don’t see other people and it’s...
Read moreTigania Beach is a hidden gem located on the Sithonia peninsula in Greece. It is a secluded beach that is known for its crystal-clear waters, soft sand, and stunning scenery. The beach is surrounded by lush greenery, making it a truly idyllic spot to relax and escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. I recently had the pleasure of spending a day at Tigania Beach and was absolutely blown away by its beauty. The water was so clear that I could see the fish swimming around my feet. The sand was soft and white, perfect for sunbathing. And the scenery was simply breathtaking. I felt like I was in paradise. One of the things that makes Tigania Beach so special is its secluded location. It is not as easy to reach as some of the other beaches in Sithonia, which means that it is often less crowded. This makes it the perfect place to relax and enjoy some peace and quiet. There are a few ways to get to Tigania Beach. You can drive there yourself, but the roads can be a bit rough in some places. You can also take a taxi or a bus. But the best way to get there is by boat. There are many boat tours that will take you to Tigania Beach and other nearby beaches. Once you arrive at Tigania Beach, you will find that there are a few sunbeds and umbrellas available for rent. There is also a small taverna where you can buy food and drinks. But other than that, there is not much else on the beach. This is part of its charm. It is a truly unspoiled place where you can relax and enjoy the natural beauty of Greece. If you are looking for a beautiful and secluded beach to relax on, then I highly recommend Tigania Beach. It is a truly special place that you will never forget. The beach is located near the village of Sykia. The best time to visit is during the shoulder seasons (spring and fall), when the weather is still warm but the crowds are smaller. There are no lifeguards on duty at Tigania Beach, so it is important to be careful when swimming. Nudity is allowed on one side of the beach. If you are looking for a truly unforgettable beach experience, then be sure to add Tigania Beach to your list. You won't be...
Read moreTigania Beach is a true gem, offering an unforgettable experience for those willing to make the slight effort to reach it. The water here is absolutely crystal clear, a mesmerizing turquoise that invites you to dive in. You'll be amazed at how easily you can spot plenty of fish swimming around, making it a fantastic spot for snorkeling and underwater exploration. The rocky scenery surrounding the beach is well worth exploring. Jagged cliffs and interesting formations provide a dramatic backdrop and offer opportunities for adventurous souls to discover hidden coves and unique viewpoints. Just be sure to wear appropriate footwear if you plan on clambering over the rocks. Be forewarned, however, that the road from the parking lot down to the beach is indeed a handful! It's a steep and somewhat challenging descent, so take your time and watch your step. But trust me, the reward at the bottom is well worth the minor inconvenience. When hunger strikes, the food available is honest and tasty without much fuss. You can expect simple, satisfying dishes that perfectly complement a day at the beach, providing the fuel you need without distracting from the natural beauty around you. Overall, Tigania Beach is a must-visit for anyone seeking pristine waters, captivating rocky landscapes, and a laid-back atmosphere. Just be prepared for a bit of a hike, and you'll be...
