Marathias Beach in Corfu is an absolute gem! The golden sand and crystal clear waters make it a perfect spot for families, especially those with children. The beach is well-equipped with various establishments offering umbrellas and bar/restaurant services. We chose Karma, which also has private parking—a fantastic convenience. The umbrellas are only 10 euros, a great deal, and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful.

For those looking for some extra fun, there are inflatables in the water available for 15 euros per person per day. The expansive beach also provides plenty of space for sports activities, catering to both adults and children.

One tip: aim to arrive by 10:30 AM to avoid the crowds, as parking can become limited later in the day. Overall, Marathias Beach is a perfect spot for a fun and relaxing day by the sea. Highly...

A very beautiful sandy beach! It was a relaxing day for us. It can be really noisy depending on the side you are on. We stayed where there are no bars, so no noise and I was able to have a very soothing nap hahaha sound waves and all. There is a water park for the children. They have a shower and charged us 10€ for the sunbeds and umbrella. We also had a very cute visitor, the doggy came from a house up the street to have his morning swim and took a nap next to us! So cute! I almost took him home hahaha We had an awesome lunch at Karma, i had a mexican plate and my husband had a swordfish and God, it was so good! I definitely recommend it!! We were able to park easily but we do arrive early at the beaches, if you come too late, you might not...

Marathias Beach had its unique charm, even though the sea conditions weren't ideal for swimming on that windy day. The rough waves created an exciting atmosphere, perfect for those who enjoy water sports like surfing.

While swimming wasn't the best option, the beach's natural beauty still shone through. The long stretch of golden sand and the rugged shoreline had their own appeal, and it was a great spot to enjoy a beach stroll or a picnic.

Although it might not have been the best day for a traditional beach outing, Marathias Beach offered a different kind of coastal experience that surf enthusiasts...

One of the best beaches in the southern part of Corfu and very clean. The rest of them are pretty similar to this one. Very kids friendly. Fine sand. No rocks when entering the water. Shallow water going for a long distance into the sea. Very clear water, good for snorkeling. The best thing is that you have good access to the beach by car. There are free parking spots, but can get crowdy really quickly if you arrive after 10 AM. You have lots of places to buy some snaks or coffe and also restaurants. You can also witness a nice sunset.

The best thing you can do is, visit Corfu in September. The holidays are over, Kids are back to school. And the Marathias beach is empty. Just empty. Space everywhere on this wonderful sandy beach. The water was pleasant warm, clear, and you can go into the sea for quite a distance before your feet lose contact from the ground. On top, no one is interested if you use sun loungers and umbrellas. No charge for the whole day. I can’t say how it will be in the middle of the season, but for me, it’s the number one beach to visit.

Very long beach, you can walk for miles. I visited in April and it was very quiet. They just started preparing for the season. Strange phenomenon here, there's a stream, or actually two streams on this beach coming from a well (sweet water) crossing the beach right into the sea. If you're a hiker, you'll have to take off your shoes... Or get wet feet. Nice hiking area. Explore the paths going up from the beach into the mountains, sometimes not very easy to distinguish from the beach, but there are some.
