Gialos Karteradou — Attraction in Municipality of Thira

Another beautiful beach in Santorini, easy to reach since it's just a few kilometres from the main road and the street is mostly covered with asphalt. The beach has a beautiful bar where you can rent umbrellas, although I found the price a bit too high: for one umbrella and two sunbeds they ask for 40€, which you can pay eating and/or drinking at the bar. The guys at the bar are very nice and friendly and the service was very good. The food menu doesn't have many traditional dishes expect for salads, the rest were tacos, hamburgers, ans similar, which are good although I hoped for more traditional food. For this reason I had lunch on the tavern which is upstairs from the bar and where I had a great experience with typical food, friendly service and fair prices. Last suggestion: when you leave the beach to get home use your car navigator for directions! I haven't and took the wrong path, which led me to a long off-road street until I got lost and had to return...

This beach healed me. But really though, it was quiet, peaceful, had plenty of parking, and Drunkfish bar/restaurant. Definitely go...

Come for the view, stay for a meal and drinks...
