Karafa Tavern — Restaurant in Municipality of Thira

I had an absolutely delightful experience at Karafa restaurant in Greece! The moment we stepped in, the lovely staff greeted us with warmth and kindness, especially towards my 5-year-old daughter. They made her feel so special, and that made our dining experience even more memorable.

The owner of the restaurant was splendid and incredibly helpful throughout our visit. Their passion for their restaurant truly showed, and they went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful time.

The food at Karafa was exceptional, and we loved every dish we tried. It was our first time in Greece, and this restaurant made it an unforgettable culinary journey.

A special mention goes to Sophie, the sweet waitress, who not only provided excellent service but also created a lasting memory for my daughter. She went the extra mile and even drew a picture of my little one, leaving us with a heartwarming keepsake to cherish.

Highly recommended this place. This place was recommended to us by our Airbnb host as a local favourite… we understood why… the food is fresh, good portion size and delicious! Grilled sea bass was great. There is a special fried fish dish (not on the menu) was great too. Good place for vegetarian options as well. The owner and people who work here are incredibly nice! (our daughter got so close with Sophie) The food is reasonably priced. The restaurant is in front of beautiful beach. We were here almost everyday of our stay at Santorini. This tavern is a hidden gem. There is not much going on in the area so it is not very busy. I found quite a few locals eating here, which is always a good sign in my book. It does mean that occasionally something from the menu is not available, but the quality of what is available more than makes up for it.
