Ziria Ski Center — Attraction in Municipality of Xylokastro and Evrostina

I should start of by saying that this is heavily affected by the fetival it takes place at Ziria every August and I've never visited the snow resort during any other time.. Alright. Let's review the saloon first.. pretty decent place, bathrooms are clean, there's sandwiches and other bakery related products at reasonable prices, coffee, drinks, I even noticed a small ski shop. (can't really talk about the latter much since it was closed during the summer festival so I can't talk about the quality of the gear they are renting) As for the rest of the ski resort I only noticed a single teleferik and that was in a really mid-grade condition, rusty, etc.. (i should also add it was not working since, again, it was summer) other than that there was a single wide-short track that goes flat in the end after the salloon.. there might be some baby lifts during the winter season, but I couldn't find any pole placements..

As for the festival part, it's an amazing experience given the chance you'll go early to find some shade to put your tent.. since it's a ski resort, expect steep inclines with shade or flat ground and exposed to the sun or other weather conditions.. (nothing in between) The festival itself is AMAZING there's plenty of people, every year it grows bigger and bigger, there's bands playing from 5pm 'till 1.30am and then there's the after party at the salloon which is now equipped with a 2nd stage for all kinds of electronic music!! There's food vendors, alcohol, giant fireplaces to keep you warm at night (it gets cold at night since you're on a pretty high altitude) and I would definitely stay away from the chemical toilets.. they clean it once after the festival is over and I can't even describe you how awful it's in there after 3 days of 'deposits'... there's a big line for the bathroom and for coffee at the salloon but it's reasonable since there's a...

Δραστηριότητες ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Εκτός από σκι και snowboard, το κέντρο προσφέρει έλκηθρα και χιονοδρομικές βόλτες για παιδιά και οικογένειες. Οι λάτρεις της φύσης μπορούν να απολαύσουν πεζοπορίες, ορειβασία και snowshoeing στη γύρω περιοχή. Δίπλα στο χιονοδρομικό, υπάρχουν ευκαιρίες για off-road διαδρομές και εξορμήσεις με 4x4.

Χώρος & Υποδομές ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Το κέντρο διαθέτει ένα σαλέ με καφετέρια και ζεστή ατμόσφαιρα, ιδανικό για χαλάρωση με ζεστό ρόφημα ή σνακ. Ο χώρος είναι καθαρός και φιλικός για οικογένειες, με αρκετό χώρο για παιχνίδι στο χιόνι. Δεν διαθέτει πολυτελείς εγκαταστάσεις, αλλά η εμπειρία είναι οργανωμένη και φιλόξενη.

Οι δρόμοι είναι σε γενικές γραμμές προσβάσιμοι, αλλά σε περιόδους έντονων χιονοπτώσεων μπορεί να χρειαστούν αντιολισθητικές αλυσίδες. Διαθέτει χώρο στάθμευσης, αν και σε ημέρες αιχμής μπορεί να είναι περιορισμένος.
