If you come and visit Kefalonia you must stop at Myrtos beach! This day was a bit choppy in the water so no swimming was allowed.
The viewpoint is stunning and their is plenty of parking each side. Just be careful when crossing the road each side, but most people are driving very slowly because the view is just amazing.
I visited this view point twice on this trip but also from the opposite part. You’ll notice that depending on the weather the colour of the water changes a bit.

Otherwise, it is a really lovely place, with white sand and rocks. There weren't any umbrellas and sunbeds yet, but I guess they bring them out in july. There is a toilet, but it wasn't able to use in june, and there are cabins for changing. Read moreMyrtos Beach is a really nice beach with a long shoreline. The shore is rocky, and the sea gets deep very quickly , I think my feet no longer touched the bottom after just two or 3 meters. The beach itself is clean, but unfortunately the sea had washed a lot of debris and plastic onto the shore, so it was more pleasant to swim further out, away from the floating trash.
