Paralia Potistika — Attraction in South Pilio Municipality

2025 update The nice little tavern / beach bar just got better. They added two terraces with chairs, sunbeds and umbrellas where you can enjoy your coffee, food or drink in a relaxed position. The bar itself was redecorated and now has a lot of sofas and tables where you can sit with your friends. The damages from the big floods in 2023 have been fixed - last year it was no auto access from the road coming from Argalasti because the place was devastated. Now everything is repaired and there are plenty of parking spots nearby.

2022 update Since my original review in 2019 I visited many beaches in Greece and I still consider Potistika one of the best beach, if not the best. This is a secluded place, even the access is easy with a car, however it may not be a good choice if you're searching for beach bars, water sports and crowdwd place. I posted many pictures and movie clips to let everyone decide for himself.

Beautiful beach with sand and pebble. Nice little tavern and cosy terrace where to drink a frapé or a cold beer. If wind is strong, big waves may be dangerous...

We were looking for a sandy beach with clear waters and were told this was one of the best in the Pelion area. On the day we went, there were waves so it was not easy to enjoy our swim. The waters were not clean/clear as we had expected and overall the beach was not well kept with signs of garbage along the beach area. We did not see any organized lounge chairs nor umbrellas available for use/rent. Picturesque however, for us it definitely was not...

Μια από τις ωραιότερες παραλίες του Πηλίου κατά την προσωπική μου άποψη! (+) Εύκολη πρόσβαση από Αργαλαστή και σχετικά εύκολο παρκάρισμα σε φυσικό χώρο κοντά στην παραλία. Μόνο σε ώρες αιχμής υπάρχει πρόβλημα και ΣΚ. Πεντακάθαρα νερά και συνδυασμός αμμουδιάς και μικρού χαλικιού, πολύ μεγάλη η παραλία με αποτέλεσμα και στην πολυκοσμία να υπάρχει απόσταση με τους γύρω σου, δυνατότητα μπάνιου σε οργανωμένη περιοχή της παραλίας με ξαπλώστρες και τα συναφή αλλά ταυτόχρονα και ευρύς ελεύθερος χώρος να στήσεις την δική σου ομπρέλα. Στα δεξιά πλευρά της η ύπαρξη δύο μεγάλων αντικριστών βράχων σου δημιουργεί την αίσθηση πισίνας. Μοναδική αίσθηση να κολυμπάς και δίπλα σου να σκάει το κύμα στα βράχια αυτά... Οποίος αγαπάει τα κύματα, μπορεί παίζει με τις ώρες μαζί τους στα ποτιστικά... Η παραλία έχει ναυαγοσώστες για τον οποιοδήποτε κίνδυνο παρουσιαστεί. Τέλος υπάρχουν ορισμένες ταβέρνες και εστιατόρια που θα σας καλύψουν εφόσον θελήσετε κάτι να φάτε. (-) Πολλές φορες υψηλοί άνεμοι στην περιοχή καθιστούν δύσκολη την στήριξη ομπρέλας ενώ δημιουργούνται μεγάλα κύματα που μπορεί να φτάσουν το νερό εκεί που κάθεσαι παρασέρνοντας τα πάντα.
