We parked just past Vradeto and enjoyed the pretty, gently undulating walk to the lookout at about 5pm. Took about 30mins rach way. The walk is well marked both ways - sturdy shoes and water are needed. The view from the lookout is stunning and apparently is the best vantage point of the gorge from above. We were surprised there was no information at all once at the lookout, such as depth etc. We were the only ones there but as we were returning to our car noticed many people heading to the lookout, maybe for the sunset. Just wonderful.

The sights were breath-taking. It took us about 45mins from the start of the trail marked 'Beloi Hike' to get to the viewpoint in moderate, chill speed. The sign says 15mins but I think it rather depends on the speed you're wanting to take. There are multiple areas to take in the panoramic view of the entire place and is well worth it to attempt. Note though, that there isn't shade so if there aren't clouds in the air, the sun may be a tad unforgiving - bring water and shade, where possible.

Simply unreal views. Absolute must go. Make sure you look around and behind you as vistas are in all directions. There is parking for about 20 cars at the trail start. It's a 15 minute walk from that parking. The trail is fairly easy in the summer, doable in good sandals but running shoes is better. Might be a bit muddy in a few spots if it rained recently but you can walk around. There are A LOT of bees around so if allergic bring an EpiPen.

Beloi is perhaps the best spot, where one can see the whole gully and is situated only 20 minutes away on foot, west of Vradeto village. Beloi means “beautiful view” and was not like that unrightfully, as the panoramic view to the gorge is really breathtaking. The stone-built balcony seems to be suspended at the edge of the cliff and the biggest, deepest and most impressive gorge in Europe stretches before you. The echo of your voice tears the silence and is heard through the glory of nature. The limestone formations that were created 37 to 150 millions of years ago cover the largest part of the gorge. The great variety and the diversity of nature, contribute to a feast of flora and fauna, creating one of the few shelters of...
