Beloi is perhaps the best spot, where one can see the whole gully and is situated only 20 minutes away on foot, west of Vradeto village. Beloi means “beautiful view” and was not like that unrightfully, as the panoramic view to the gorge is really breathtaking. The stone-built balcony seems to be suspended at the edge of the cliff and the biggest, deepest and most impressive gorge in Europe stretches before you. The echo of your voice tears the silence and is heard through the glory of nature. The limestone formations that were created 37 to 150 millions of years ago cover the largest part of the gorge. The great variety and the diversity of nature, contribute to a feast of flora and fauna, creating one of the few shelters of wild life left.
