Absolutely come here..BUT, do not believe ANYONE who tells you its an easy and manageable hike...TAKE THE LANCHA!! We did hike...actually added this destination as our final stop after hiking San Miguel Mirador, the Archeological site, Chechenal Beach and the Museo Mundo Maya.. There is no trail.that leads to Jorge's place..we tried...we scaled up the fence along the mountainside .. we ended up inside the forest..its a nice hike..but NO JORGE! We hiked back down along the fence line and called Jorge's place who sent a lancha to the little bay to pick us up. Once here, relax on hammocks, tables and chairs, have a cold drink, eat some food..we ate pasta with meat sauce! So delicious!! The water is clean and warm .. the ropes and platform offer a more adventurous experience! 😊

Great spot to chill on Lake Petén. There is a couple of rope swings, as the name would imply, as well as a diving platform. There are numerous sitting areas including hammocks and tables with lots of shade available. Entry fee is 25qtz per person. They sell alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks at decent prices. Getting here is by way of boat, hire a water taxi or by a leisurely kayak paddle. There are numerous kayak rentals in Flores. Water quality seems good here, saw lots of fish and no floating trash. Did see two huge iguanas in the trees.

What a sweet little find! A five minute lancha ride from Flores Island this place is not to be missed. The water is warm—dive in. There are platforms with chairs and hammocks, a diving board (like an actual board, not a spring board) and two rope swings. You could bring a lunch (I don’t recall if they have a restaurant, but I saw people drinking margaritas) and hang out all day if you wanted. There is lots of shade and they only charge a q50 entrance fee. We rented inner tubes for q10 and that was super fun. Highly recommend!

Must do if you like water and adventure!

Rope swing is so much fun and easy for children who are good, confident swimmers. Prices are reasonable for a tourist attraction. It’s not easy to find such a fun experience and worth the money for a great memory. 25Q per person entry. Small snacks and beverages available also at tourist prices e.g. 10Q for a large bottle of water.

There is not much seating but ok for the number of people there. About 20 during the afternoon on a weekday in Feb. in the covered/shaded area there are four hammocks, a few lounge chairs, and other basic wooden chairs and different size tables for your drinks.

I took a water taxi from Flores Island though it was not easy/obvious to find. I noticed a small dock by Maple & Tocino and a docked boat with a driver hanging out. They stated the price was 50Q per person round trip. I paid half when arriving at Jorge’s and the other half after return to Flores Island. The driver gave me their number to use WhatsApp to contact them when I was ready to leave. It took them about 10-15...

A little run down, but great fun and worthwhile. Water is lovely and warm. 10 minute boat ride from the eastern side of Flores. The price of the boat seems to depend on how many people are in your group. For two of us, the captain initially asked for 100GTQ per person return, but accepted 75GTQ. The 25GTQ one way I had read about online apparently only applies if you have 4+ people in your group. I asked the family at the rope swing and if you contact them on +50231963196 they can arrange a boat costing 75GTQ return for two people including entry, or 100GTQ for one person return including entry, which is a better deal than negotiating with the boats...
