Really beautiful and well organized museum that you can visit for free. It has a big parking lot, free parking as well. The building is a modern style inside and out with lots of information. Unfortunately, there is no info in English, only in Spanish. Outside and on the back side of the building, there are ongoing excavations. One of the guys from the museum was nice enough to accompany me to the excavation sites and gave a brief history and info about the area and findings. The museum is in need of floor and painting repairs. The absolutely amazing part of the museum is the outdoor nature walking that is accessible behind the museum. Read moreThis is a wonderful museum. I don't know why it's not known more. There's also a mound next to it that contains ruins that haven't been excavated yet. The museum is closed Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. To get there you take a boat from Flores to San Miguel (5q) then a tuk-tuk to the museum (10q or walk).
