The Guatemala Post Office building is a beautiful Neo-Colonial style building. It holds the management for Guatemalan postal service and the Museum of Posts, Telegraphs, and Philately. The building is designed with two parts linked in arched pedestrian bridge. It is beautiful both inside and outside with a nice little courtyard inside. You can see the locals spending time in the courtyard eating lunch and otherwise enjoying the place. The museum is FREE and includes three rooms. The first Postal room includes items dating back to 1930s with letters, stamps, postal equipment and even postal bikes. The second Telegraph room includes various equipment dating back to the time when telegraphs were used to communicate and shows how this equipment evolved over time.
