The Beer Festival of Herm Island is a vibrant and highly anticipated event that draws beer enthusiasts and visitors from across the Channel Islands and beyond. Held annually on the picturesque Herm Island, the festival offers a unique and relaxed way to enjoy local brews, stunning scenery, and the island's laid-back atmosphere.

Set against the backdrop of Herm’s breathtaking beaches and rolling hills, the festival takes place at the island’s main venue, often the White House Hotel, which becomes the lively center of the event. With over 40 different beers on offer, the festival showcases an impressive selection of local craft beers from Guernsey and other nearby islands, as well as international brews. This wide variety ensures there’s something for every taste, from light lagers to rich stouts and fruity ales. Many of the beers are produced by local breweries, giving visitors the chance to sample the best of Guernsey’s growing craft beer scene.

In addition to the excellent beers, the festival also features delicious food stalls, live music, and a fun, friendly atmosphere. Whether you're enjoying a pint while lounging on the grass or dancing to live tunes, the festival provides a wonderful sense of community and celebration. The event is family-friendly, with activities for children and opportunities to explore the island’s natural beauty.

The Beer Festival of Herm Island is a must-visit for anyone who enjoys good beer and great company. Its combination of fantastic local brews, scenic surroundings, and fun-filled activities makes it a memorable...

We visited recently and visited the shell beach kiosk..we specifically went there due to them now selling alcoholic drinks. When we arrived half an hour before they closed, we were told they had stopped serving. Then they changed their minds and let us but the Woman (called Michelle) spoke abruptly to us like we were children (not friendly at all) so 15mins goes by and a couple sat on table next to us and they got served alcohol with a happy attitude and no mention they had stopped serving!!!! Obviously depends if your face fits!!

This isnt the first bad experience, at Christmas 2020, we were in the bar and we were told we they weren't serving mulled wine that day. About an hour or so later they served someone with...

We were in a self catering cottage, beautifully equipped & appointed with comfortable bed & sofa. Hospitality on Herm is good with two pubs and a hotel for dining out with a tiny shop but you can order groceries to be delivered from Guernsey (we took basics with us). Unfortunately due to a communication issue we were not advised of the closure of all eateries & shop on 1/11/21 however the Manager arranged for an extremely generous delivery of food the next day and a free night accommodation. We love Herm & this remedy just underlines the care & commitment of the team to their guests. We...

23.08.2022. I stayed at the campsite when I did the round the coast path of Herm leg of the Channel Island Way walk a few years ago.The walk is around the coast path of the four main islands.I came back again today to enjoy the beauty of the island.Because of the hot dry weather this summer it isn't as green as it was during my last visit but is still an amazing and very peaceful place. No cars here and people are totally relaxed.Big thank you to the girls at the harbour cafe, they sell some really nice sausage rolls.

A possible 'Isle of the Dead' in Neolithic/Bronze Age eras. Many remains of chambered tombs and cists. Walk to the NW of the island to find them. Also St Tugual's Chapel worth a visit, charming little garden. Easy to walk entire island in one day and clamber around to find all the old and interesting stuff! - like the prison....
