Great collection of aircraft, from the very last piston engine fighter to ever see combat (Soto Heriquez's F4U5N) to the last preserved model of the NA16, this museum is, no doubt, the best in Central America and probably one of the most interesting in Latin America due to its meaning for aviation history. Only inconvenience is the overall structure, which has no souvenirs or inside spaces to take time and read Honduras' history in a fresher space. Heat is insane sometimes, so it can get desperating and ruin the experience. After that, no problem at all with the collection and overall path you follow. Read moreI came across this museum while surfing Google Earth, and had to visit. I've lived in Honduras for over 2 years and had no idea it was there! It's on the military base, but it was as simple as pulling up to the gate, telling them I wanted to visit the museum, and giving my drivers license and vehicle registration information, and they welcomed me in. The museum itself is small, but has a great collection of Honduran Air Force history that's well organized, and they have several rooms with a wealth of historical information and photos.
