I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Oceanarium in Budapest, and I must say, it was an experience that left me awestruck! From the moment I entered, I was greeted with a captivating display of marine life that truly transported me to the depths of the ocean. With its incredible variety of aquatic species, including the majestic sharks and the formidable crocodiles, this place is an absolute gem for nature enthusiasts.
The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the shark exhibit. The sheer grace and power of these magnificent creatures as they glided through the water left me in awe. The Oceanarium's dedication to creating a natural and immersive habitat for the sharks was evident, and it made the experience all the more memorable.
The crocodile enclosure was equally impressive. Observing these ancient reptiles up close was both thrilling and educational. The staff provided informative insights about their behavior and conservation efforts, which enhanced my understanding and appreciation for these remarkable creatures.
What truly sets this Oceanarium apart is its commitment to conservation and education. Throughout the exhibits, there were engaging displays and information boards that shed light on the importance of preserving our oceans and the role we play in their protection. I left the facility feeling inspired and motivated to make a positive impact on marine ecosystems.
In terms of value, the ticket price of approximately 11 euros was more than reasonable for the unforgettable experience I had. It's evident that the funds generated from ticket sales are being used to maintain the exhibits and support the conservation initiatives of the Oceanarium.
The staff at the Oceanarium were friendly and approachable, readily answering any questions I had. Their passion for marine life was evident in their interactions, adding a personal touch to the overall experience.
In conclusion, I highly recommend visiting the Oceanarium in Budapest. With its diverse range of marine species, captivating exhibits, and educational initiatives, it offers a unique and enriching experience for visitors of all ages. Prepare to be mesmerized by the enchanting underwater world and come away with a newfound appreciation for our planet's marine treasures. Five stars all the...
Read moreWe came here with the children probably with prematurely high expectations. Based on the photos and reviews from the Internet, we expected something a little bigger. However, the space is part of the interior of the shopping center and, despite its size, it can accommodate a large number of visitors. Good organization, during the winter it is possible to leave windbreakers in the room. The interior of the Tropicaria itself is ok, some parts of the exposition are under reconstruction. For us, it was a little less disappointing and slightly ethically disconcerting that some terrariums are small for animals, maybe not enough, especially for small adults, one of them was constantly lying on the ground. In the upper exhibition, there was a single monkey, without a piece of greenery, we felt that she lived in dust and alone behind glass, without contact or touch. As we entered with enthusiasm, honestly, we left, especially my daughter, sad. We are not planning another visit here. But we definitely recommend it as an educational exhibition for small children. Time for digestion in this place - one...
Read moreKinda disappointed. It is just an ok place to spend max 1 hour of time in family and see some sea species and reptiles. But in other hand, it is a sad and disappointed place to see. The place is cheaply maintained, you will see water leaking ceiling, old and not maintened walls, the tanks where the animals are are just sadly small. There is one in specific where you see the alligator turtle in the most small tank ever. The glass of the tanks are all scratched and dirty. There are signs of not throwing coins to water, and you see the place fill of them, which also makes you see that they don't clean them. I didn't see any personnel of the place in anyway of the tour looking that all is well and people behave well. The last place of the tour is a huge tank with almost no kinda decoration for the fishes there. Looks like if they throw them into a pool and which people are allowed to constantly put their hands and fingers inside to see if they can touch them. See all photos.
Extra: The place is full of people and is located...
