I have been coming here with my family for the past 20 years and we used to love it. Recently, we heard that they changed the owner and the place has become a mess.
We bought extra tickets to be able to go to the sauna special programmes. The sauna master (named Adam) started the programme and my father just whispered to me if I understand what aroma he is using. To this a random man sitting next to us shouted at us to stay silent and Adam was very rude saying that we can switch spots if we will speak again. Nobody told us nicely that there was this rule of ABSOLUTE silence in the sauna, they just shouted at us for whispering.
Later when we went to ask for a refund. The manager did not listen to us but to the random guy who shouted at us (I am guessing they are friends). This man said me that I should go back to Serbia and that I am not welcome in Hungary if I behave this way. The boss was right next to him and allowed that his customers are treated this way.
We did not receive an apology neither from the boss nor Adam, the sauna master, but the boss forced the kind receptionist lady to apologise to us even though she did nothing wrong.
Apart from this. Szent Erzsebet spa used to be a nice, clean place to relax. Now it has become a welcoming place only to the close friends of the owner, and it is not so clean anymore.
Highly unpleasant experience and we will never return to this place. FOREIGNERS ARE NOT WELCOME THERE SO I ADVISE YOU TO SEARCH FOR A BETTER SPA.
Update: I was contacted by the mayors office of Morahalom and she apologised to me and my family. We received free tickets and went back there without any problems. I corrected my rating and I hope that the above mentioned incident does not...
Read moreWe visited the so-called Quiet Wellness Premium Spa Area - what a disappointment!! All the sauna's in the new area where closed, including the beautiful big one that you see on their website. So the "premium" area (where you pay extra to get access) is nothing but a large rest room. It is indeed quiet (which is a big plus in Hungary where it seems normal to chat very loud in every sauna) but there is an annoying music which plays every 2 minutes the same sound... not so Zen! The other part of the spa area is much older, very little space. Here was only 1 hot sauna open. One color sauna, not so hot. One jacuzzi, that's it. One very small cold tub to cool down., outside shower did not work.
On top of our disappointment about the location, we were very surprised to find out that it is normal to bring your smartphone in and use it in the sauna area!! Since we came in on a Friday 'non-textile' sauna day, hoping to enjoy a real sauna experience instead of sweating in your bathing clothes, this for me felt very unpleasant, knowing people can easily make photo's and video's. In any country and all the sauna's we visited this is strictly forbidden.
All together, an experience not to be repeated... high cost, disappointing location, non-relaxed atmosphere. Too bad, because it is really hard to find a real...
Read moreWe came here for the second time after ten years, nothing has changed for the better, on the contrary! There are no lockers for storing things, after that we got into an incredible crowd, it's obvious that the spa doesn't have enough capacity! There was no place to put a single towel, the water is dirty, every pool is full, people are arguing about places, making unpleasant comments and staring. the price is certainly not high, but it would be better to make an investment and raise the prices, so that everything could be normal. After half an hour spent looking for a place, and passing through the crowd, we never found a place where we could stop, and we didn't even get into one of the pools, so we decided to go home! We asked for things back, we barely got a refund because we paid by card, so it's not possible to get a refund! But we pulled out! We will certainly never come again, it's not a spa, it's a dirty, neglected place, full of bacteria, and failures in the quality and organization of work! Go to the spas in Austria and Germany, and...
