Joyful family fun. We are a family of 3 traveling through Iceland by cruiseship. John and his wife run the company along with Maxum (sp?) and they were perfect at what they do. Everything was super safe and enjoyable.

I was very nervous but my kid (11 yo) really wanted to do this, so I went for it. There are 5 zip lines altogether but the first one was the only one that scared me b/c you need to walk off the ledge. The zip team did a great job with safety and not overdoing the preparation - too much talking would have made me more nervous but I promise it was a great experience! By the second line, I was doing the spiderman :) which is basically an upside down butterfly pose with hands free! No joke. Daughter and Husband had a wonderful time as well. There were several children/teens in the group (max 13 ppl) you go one at a time and walk short hikes in between.

Once there we were checked in and waited for the rest of the group. Everyone was fun and encouraging. I decided to go towards the beginning so I didn't chicken out. After check in, it's about a 5-10 min walk with rougher terrain to the first zipline. I should note that the zipline takes place adjacent to a frisbee golf course. There was another family where the kids ziplined, but the parents just walked the "golf" course to take pictures if that helps.

It was fun, adventerous, a bit of hiking but not overly strenuous and very afforable considering other options. Also, not large groups. I highly recommend!

If you are looking for about 1.5-2 hours of fun plus commute this is perfect. We actually rented e-scooters near the port for about 900 IKR ($7.50 usd) each way per scooter that was fun in and of itself but took about 20-25 mins. Taxi should take about 10 mins, The journey there has elevation change of about 250 feet, so somewhat difficult trek if you have...

Wow! What an absolutely incredible experience. Ziplining with Zipak was hands-down one of the best things we did on our entire trip to Iceland. If you're looking for an unforgettable adventure, this is it! From the moment we arrived, the guides were fantastic. They were not only professional, knowledgeable, and extremely focused on safety (which made us feel completely at ease), but they were also hilarious, encouraging, and so passionate about the beautiful nature around them. They truly made the experience special. The ziplines themselves are exhilarating! Soaring over the stunning river gorge gives you the most breathtaking views. It's the perfect combination of a thrilling adrenaline rush and the chance to appreciate Iceland's raw beauty from a unique perspective. The whole setup is top-notch, with excellent equipment and a very well-organized tour. Even if you're a little nervous about heights, the guides are so supportive they will have you feeling confident and laughing in no time. We left with huge smiles on our faces and memories that will last a lifetime. We cannot recommend Zipak highly enough! Thank you to the whole team for the...

We had a great time. The activity took about 1.5 hours with a group of 6 people. There is not much walking involved only about 2 mins between each line and 15 mins at the end. The guys were extremely friendly and engaging and told us little stories about Iceland and Akureyri in between the zips. While I've done many ziplines before I still have a fear of heights and they made me feel safe. I believe they did a great job explaining what to do if you were a first-timer too, and encouraged us to try different poses while sliding. I'd like to add though not to expect km long lines. Compared to what I'm used to in Germany/Hungary/Austria these were relative short ones, with only one ...
