It's not the most incredible waterfall but for how easy it is to access it gets 4/5. Less than 1km round trip, some incline but nothing crazy. It's pretty tall and a pretty wispy like waterfall. We parked at the church as no mass at that time. If you park at the church you walk up the right side of the waterfall and don't have to cross the water, if you park on the left you are closer but have to cross the water. The trail on the right starts of wide, maintained and gravel. There was not end of trail sign, it got pretty mushy in some spots for us. We didn't get right to the base. Pretty as a quick stop driving...

I stopped in Olafsvik to get a look at the chuch and the memorial to drowned fisherman. Seeing the waterfall and its easy access I couldnt help but take a walk up to have a closer view. Its a short, easy walk with a small incline but no one else is here, you have it all to yourself. Park at church (free) if no mass is going on and walk across the street to access the trail. It takes about 20 minutes all told...very quick and worthy of the investment if you arent...

Such a peaceful waterfall. An easy hike for families. A nice place to picnic or pick berries. It’s a place where the positive ions of the rushing water help one’s mind reset. Our family brought visitors to the waterfall from age 9 to 41. Everyone explored a different aspect. Some hike higher. Some looked at the view over the city. One young man was mesmerized by the stream flowing. Another child just listened to the sound of the water.

A highly recommended...

Worth checking this waterfall out. From the town centre follow the rainbow road as far as the church (constructed as triangles and apparently looks like a salted cod from above). There is a interesting football stadium on the right. Park near the church and follow the track to the waterfall. In winter this consists mostly of ice and is an amazing sight.

To be honest after the amazing waterfalls that one gets to see around Iceland, this one is quite dull. A quick walk up from the cute little fishing town takes you to a fairly nice little view. I would say if you are driving around the peninsula and fancy a quick stop, take a quick look but otherwise don't worry too much about it
