This is for a table of 1. I ordered seafood soup, fish and chips and Einstok White Ale.

I walked in at 6pm with no reservations. The restaurant was full but the server was able to accommodate me.

I ordered based on reviews I've read from Google. The seafood soup was just the right temperature. It was drizzled with oil and seaweed. It was bomb! The serving was small but it was an appetizer and I wanted more! Next was the fish and chips, the chips were cut differently, and I really like it. The fish was fresh and succulent. It also came with a little salad and the addition of melons to salad was just flavor explosion in my mouth!

It was pricey but I think it was worth it. Converted to USD, it was about $67.

It was the only restaurant in town, aside from the gas stations..

Overall it was a great experience!

You made it to this part of Iceland, go...

We were excited to visit this restaurant after a long day of driving and hiking. The posted closing time is 9pm. We arrived at 8:15pm and were turned down saying that they had already turned off the ovens and were now closed. My husband and I as well as two other groups were all turned away. There were AT LEAST 8 other patrons seated inside at tables at the time we were all turned away.

Normally I wouldn’t care as we’d just go somewhere else. However, the ONLY other place within a 30 minute drive was a gas station. So we were fortunate enough to get to try a gourmet gas station dinner instead.

I can’t comment on how the food is at Sker, but beware if you are planning to visit this restaurant later in the day with no backup plan. Management should honor their closing times or update them if they are...

We took some pizzas here. The bbq one was good but we were a bit disappointed by the other one we shared: the parma.

For the food I'd give a 4/5 but I'm only putting a 3/5 because we felt completely forgotten by the waitress... While we were less than 3 groups in the restaurant. We had to ask for water at the counter after waiting for a while and same for the desert... Our plates were not removed when we got the desert as well 🤷‍♂️.

For the desert , we did try the pizza nutella + oreos and that was good ! Unless you're highly starving which is unlikely, I'd recommend to take the pizza nutella oreos to share for 2 people.

After the tour on the boat to see whales/orcas (1mn away) it was still a nice place to stop to get a bit...

November 2022 - My husband and I stopped in here for a light lunch. The staff was very friendly. I had a glass of wine and my husband had a beer. My husband ordered the tempura tacos and I ordered the mushroom soup. We also shared some fries. The mushroom soup was the perfect thing to warm me up on a cold day. I had thought it might be a little thicker based on other reviews, but it was nice and light, while still tasting really creamy. The little drizzle of oil provided a nice flavor and it was served with a personal sized wheat baguette. The french fries were crispy with just the right amount of salt. My husband inhaled the tacos. They were made with some very large shrimp! All items tasted really fresh. It hit the spot.
