Okay, here's how you actually get to it. You do turn down 753, you cross two little bridges that are back to back and on your right there will be a little parking area and a muddy horse trail with a sign that says "PRIVATE". This is NOT the parking lot you're looking for! Keep going up the hill around the bend and if you keep driving you'll eventually see the farm and the gate everyone else is mentioning. Drive through the first one (it's a bit tight but you'll manage) but leave the car at the second and don't forget to close it behind you.
We actually made the mistake of thinking the first private road was the entrance and wasted about 30 minutes backtracking and walking around through deep mud before deciding to go back to the car and drive up the hill. On our way up the hill we passed two guys walking down and they confirmed that the hot springs was further up the road, and when we told them about getting lost they said "dont feel bad, we did the same thing only we didnt turn around!"
All in all, beautiful spot. The waterfall is mesmerizing, you cant see it from the hot springs but you can hear it just around the corner. Someone also left little tea lights in the rocks, so make sure you bring a lighter for a truly...
Read moreVery nice hot spring, but not warm enough to visit in winter. Must be a really good spot in summer.
I came here in January, the road was very slippery and I could not drive all the way to the parking area since there was a lot of snow, but I continued on foot until I reached the pool. The water was warm to the hand and I took a dip. The water temperature was bareable close to the source of hot water, but it needs to be a few degrees warmer for it to be really comfortable. I had the hardest time of my life trying to get dressed with the cold wind blowing.
To reach this place you have to come from the east side of the river. Take road 753 that crosses the river, then take the first right through a gate and drive straight as far as you can. Continue on foot, cross a small river through a wooden bridge, and continue the small trail to the other side of the small hill. You should see the hot pool right next...
Read moreBeautiful waterfall and cute hot spring. When you walk up the trail you get a little excited and want to go to the gate on the right that says to please close it behind you because there are horses. While that looks promising, do not go in there! you will be dodging horse poo trying to find a trail that doesn't exist. Instead, continue on to the gate with the blue sign, where the path is much easier to follow. You must pass the waterfall and cross the little bridge to get to the hot spring, which is a small pool across from a white hut on the other side of the river. We visited on April 21 and the river water was a bit high, so I think it made the hotspring feel much cooler than what other reviews indicated. there was a little puddle with bubbles that was pretty hot, so I'm sure it is typically warmer at other times. I'm willing to bet it gets much busier too, as we were the...
