Exceptional experience in every way. The timing was precise (no waiting around), Olgeir the guide was helpful, welcoming and knowledgeable, and the canyon baths were a once in a lifetime experience that was quintessentially Icelandic in every way. We went in the winter which had to be the absolute best time to go. Soaking in the warmth of the thermal bath surrounded by snow covered cliffs on every side is the stuff of Christmas movies, but I cannot imagine there is a bad time of year to go. Some reviewers complained about the price and the restrictions (you can’t just go to the baths on your own - you must purchase the tour) - but for newcomers with limited time and no local expertise the cost was well worth the convenience of being “guided” to and from the canyon. Absolute don’t miss....

Of all the baths we visited in Iceland, these were our favorite. Book a guided tour, they only take smaller groups and you will have the area all to yourself which is super nice. The guide shares interesting facts about the area, and then leaves you to chill and enjoy. There are 2 geothermal pools and you can also take a dip in the ice cold water if you need to freshen up. Showers, changing rooms and toilet are available on premises. No shampoos, conditioner or shower gels are allowed as this is a natural site and they want to avoid pollution. Towels are given to you on arrival. A short hike away from the canyon baths is a nice waterfall which is also...

Really people....!

This is a natural hot water area but it has been diverted and adjustments made to make it a very expensive and profitable hot tub.

The price is 12.500 isk $90 or €76 for one person.

Everything at Húsafell area is over expensive You'll pay less than half for the Blue Lagoon visit, but only 900 isk in pool with sauna, hut tups and jacuzzi.... total price all over Iceland found at this website www.sundlaugar.is For an example a 2 litre soda at Húsafell will cost you more than $4,5 An ice cream is about $6,5 or €5,5 and a hot dog about the same.

I hope this will guide you to a less expensive but more...

One of our favourite geothermal baths we visited in Iceland. We met our friendly guide at the hotel and we made the 15 min drive to the private Canyon Baths. There are 60 or so steps down to the baths. The landscape surrounding the baths is very, very private! So peaceful and quiet. We were fortunate to have the entire space to ourselves as we were the last tour of the day. The dressing rooms were clean, dry and warm. Our guide checked in on us a couple of times and served us a couple of beverages along the way. +++ Experience. Enjoy Iceland.
