This is the most dishonest, crooked, scam of a company I have ever experienced. I bought a handcrafted table from them when touring their facility in Agra. I learned about 3 hours later that the very same table was 1/3 of the price on their website & my travel colleague saw thousands of them in a hidden room in the store. So much for it being a “one of a kind” design! Within 24 hours, I called & cancelled my order. I got disconnected (calling from in-country) & they refused to let me speak to my sales person. This sale took place in Nov 2022. They asked me to allow til April 2023 to receive the “handmade” table. It is now JAug 2023, still no table & no refund of over $2000 has been received, despite having been told & in writing NUMEROUS times by Shaan that they owe & will send me the refund. I have complied with EVERY REQUEST they have made for documentation, and a requested electronic transfer document from my bank. Waited, waite, more time, patience, trust & still empty promises, dishonesty & total theivery! Tourist traveling to India (especially Agra) BEWARE!! Don’t trade with Kalkriti- you will...
Read moreA jack of all trades here! Absolutely stunning and unique display of marble creations. In my opinion, one of the most beautiful places I've seen this type of work. It is such intricate work that these artists craft to create such masterpieces. We stopped to shop, then returned in the early evening for a beautiful orchestrated theater show of the Taj Mahal love story. The entertainment was lively, heart felt, and so vibrant. They don't allow photography/video during the show. You can take photos after the show. They also offered photos with the performers for 200 rupiah. The building itself is quite large, with plenty of rooms and a variety of gifts. I can say one can go on quite the...
Read moreWhile acknowledging that this is a tourist trap, its still a very high end one with exquisite craft work. No hard sell, great demonstration of the craft. I'm sure I didn't get the very best price, but I feel comfortable with what I paid and it was certainly value for money. Make sure you see all the display rooms. They start you in the high end room slowly let you see the cheaper items in the other rooms once they sense you're not gonna blow huge bucks. That said, had my wife been with me to jointly pick something out, I would have likely spent a thousand or two on something really spectacular, rather than the $450 I ended...
