This temple dedicated to Lord Shiva in his rare five-faced form – Sadyojata, Vamadeva, Aghora, Tatpurusha, and Ishana – symbolizing creation, preservation, destruction, concealment, and blessing. Each face represents a different aspect of the cosmos and spiritual energy. Devotees believe worship here removes obstacles, grants peace, and leads to spiritual upliftment. The temple holds special importance for seekers of inner growth and balance, as it embodies Shiva’s complete cosmic presence.

Though they call it Panchamukha temple, you get to see only four faces, Iishaanam being the lingam itself. The lingam got manifested because of the excavation for the amphitheatre, but it's very old and powerful. Not yet commercialized. You can offer abhishekam and puja to the lingam here and you can feel the divinity if you sit here for meditation.

Another popular attraction in Srisailam is the Pancha Mukha Siva Temple. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is believed to have been built during the 7th century. The temple is known for its unique architecture and intricate carvings.

One of the main features of the temple is the five-faced Shiva lingam, which represents the five elements - earth, water, fire, air, and ether. The lingam is adorned with gold and precious stones and is considered to be one of the most sacred symbols of Hinduism.

The temple also has several other shrines dedicated to various deities, including Lord Ganesha and Goddess Parvati. Visitors can take part in various rituals and offerings at the temple and seek the blessings of the gods.

Overall, the Pancha Mukha Siva Temple is a must-visit destination for those interested in Hindu mythology and architecture. The temple's rich history and stunning beauty make it a popular spot for tourists and...

A very quiet and powerful temple within Srisailam. The highlight of our visit was the priest, whose kindness is boundless. He personally instructs devotees on how to perform the abhishekam for the Panch Mukhi Shivling and explains its importance in a simple, heartfelt way. The love and care he shows are overwhelming. This temple offers a uniquely personal and deeply spiritual experience that is hard to...
