Sariya Water Falls — Attraction in Andhra Pradesh

Sariya/Valabu Waterfalls-సరియా/వాలాబు జలపాతం

One of the biggest, beautiful and Dangerous waterfalls located in Visakha Agency. This waterfalls are in Ananta giri mandal but located near to Devarapalli mandal.

This waterfalls are 4 stepped and we can go near 3 of the 4 steps. It has a small without space at its 3rd tier with a group of trees which is well suited for camping. The pools formed below each tier are very deep, slippery and dangerous.

To reach the waterfalls, one have to reach Devarapalli village from vizag via Kotta valasa or K Kota padu which is around 55 km. Then you have take the pinakota route from devarapalli and after travelling around 2 km, you will have to take a left turn to the falls.

Then you have to travel 8km and then another left turn and travel for 2.5 km. Then you will reach the point where the metal road to waterfalls starts and there will be a pan shop and fastfood center at this point. Further no food and water are available.

From here you have to travel around 2 km in the metal road, cars and bikes can go through and you will reach to the walking path. There you have to park your vehicles.

From here you have to cross a stream and should take small trek may be around half km to reach the 1st tier of fall. From here you have to go up 300 steps to reach the 2nd tier. The step way is slippery and dangerous when it rains. From there you have to climb up a sliding rock which is also slippery to reach the top tier of falls.

The falls are huge and mighty, very beautiful and mesmerizing yet slippery and dangerous. So be careful while you are enjoying because many deaths happened near this falls. Finally don't litter the Nature Preserves and please carry back your plastic and other wastes with you and dispose them of properly. Thank you.

విశాఖ మన్యంలో పదుల కొలదీ ఉన్న జలపాతాల్లో నగరానికి దగ్గరగా ఉన్న జలపాతం సరియా/వాలాబు జలపాతం. విశాఖ నగరానికి 70 కిమీల లోపు దేవరపల్లి నుండి 15 కీమీలు దూరంలో ఉన్న ఈ జలపాతం నాలుగంచెలు కలిగి ఉన్న చాలా పెద్ద అందమైన మరియు చాలా ప్రమాదకరమైన జలపాతం. ఈ జలపాతం దేవరపల్లికి దగ్గరగా ఉన్నా, అనంతగిరి మండలం కిందకు వస్తుంది.

విశాఖ నుండి 55 కిమీల ప్రయాణం చేసుకొత్తవలస లేదా కె కోటపాడు మీదుగా దేవరపల్లి చేరుకోవచ్చు. అక్కడ నుండి పినకోట రోడ్డులో ఇంచుమించు 2 కిమీల ప్రయాణం తరవాత ఎడమ వైపుకు జలపాతానికి వెళ్లే రోడ్డు కనిపిస్తుంది. ఆ రోడ్డులో 8 కీమీలు ప్రయాణించాక మళ్ళీ ఎడమ చేతి వైపు వచ్చే తార్ రోడ్డుకు మళ్ళి 2 కిమీల ప్రయాణం సాగించాకా జలపాతానికి వెళ్లే మట్టిరోడ్డు ప్రారంభమవుతుంది. ఇక్కడ మనకు పాన్ షాపు మరియు ఫాస్ట్ ఫుడ్ సెంటర్ కనిపిస్తాయి. ఇక్కడ నుండి ముందుకు వెళ్తే ఇక ఆహారం నీరు దొరకవు.

అలా ఆ కంకర రోడ్డుపై 1.5 కీమీలు కారు లేదా బైక్ పై ప్రయాణిస్తే జలపాతానికి నడక దారికి చేరుకోవచ్చు. ఇక్కడ వాహనాలు పార్క్ చేసి కాలినడకన కిందకు దిగి వాగు దాటుతూ ఒక అరకిలోమీటర్ మేర నడుచుకుంటూ వెళ్తే జలపాతం మొదటి అంచెకు చేరుకోవచ్చు. ఇక్కడ నుండి సుమారు 300 మెట్లు ఎక్కి జలపాతం 2 మరియు 3 అంచెకు చేరుకోవచ్చు. కొండల అంచు నుండి మెట్లు ఉంటాయి కాబట్టి పిల్లలతో వెళ్తే జాగ్రత్త వహించాలి.

జలపాతం 2 అంచెకు మనం వెళ్లలేం కానీ మూడో అంచె వద్ద బల్లపరుపుగా వుండి చక్కటి చెట్ల నీడతో ఆహ్లాదకరంగా ఉంటుంది. ఇక్కడ టెంట్ వేసుకోవచ్చు. ఇక్కడి నుండి నాలుగవ చివరి అంచెకు ఒక వాలుగా ఉండే కొండను ఎక్కి చేరుకోవాలి. ఈ కొండ చాలా జారుగా వర్షం పడేప్పుడు మరింత ప్రమాదకరంగా ఉంటుంది. పైకి చేరాక జలపాతం అందాలు ఆస్వాదించొచ్చు.

ఈ జలపాతం చాలా పెద్దదిగా అందంగా అన్నిటికంటే ముఖ్యంగా చాలా ప్రశాంతతతో కూడి ఉంటుంది. అయితే మన మాన్యంలోకెల్లా అతిప్రమాదకరమైన జలపాతం కూడా ఇదే. చాలామంది ఇక్కడ తమ ప్రాణాలు కోల్పోయారు. కాబట్టి జాగ్రత్త వహించడం చాలా ముఖ్యం. చివరగా ప్రాకృతిక అందాలకు నెలవైన ఇటువంటి ప్రదేశాలను ప్లాస్టిక్ ఇతర వ్యర్ధాలతో కలుషితం చేయకండి. ఎటువంటి వ్యర్ధపదార్ధాలైన మీతో తిరిగి తీసుకువెళ్లి, సరైన చోట...

I actually wanted to give 5 star for the beautiful location but due to few disadvantages I need to give 3 star on overall review. I am promising you all that u will get a memerizing view and u can see the real beauty of nature in this place. The waterfall is so beautiful and interesting that u will forget all your worries. The disadvantages of this place is that if it's a rainy day and if you have reached the top mountain then it's a million dollars enjoyment for you but incase you are still on the mud road then you will never go there until the rain stops. If the tourism industry focuses on this place mainly for the roads then it will beat out the anatagiri waterfall near araku. You cannot even walk it's that slippery then imagine on a bike. If you wish to travel from a four wheeler then u need to park your vehicle at a point and you need to walk almost 4 kms to the spot. You have small shops in the starting point itself so u can get all your snacks there. There is a small Dabha also located so no worries for food as well but I cannot review on the food as I have not tasted it. Finally I wish this place needs to be recognised by the government for...

This is atleast 3 hours drive from vishakapatnam. Please carry your own food and water. Near the entry to waterfall there are no joints to buy or to eat. Fee is 20 rupees. It is in a very poorly managed state as people usually drink, and throw trash everywhere. I have given 5* for the beauty part. In summer you can easily access all areas of the waterfall, but come monsoon, you won't be able to stand near the water front. From the parking spot the walk is approximately 30 minutes. Please take care of your belongings. Do not leave anything on the seats of car. When we were walking, we saw the back window of car smashed, someone broke into the car. The place, is serene, peaceful and very beautiful. You can easily spend all the day here. It opens at 9am and closes at 5pm. Do not try to take your bike or car beyond the last shop.
