This lake is really one of the main attraction of haflong and there are reasons-

1.The most interesting thing is that you don't have to buy tickets to enter this amazing lake and myself as a tourist was really amazed by that because in my personal experience of traveling many of the places I've never went to a place like this lake in the middle of the main city without buying a ticket to enter. Yes, Haflong is the top G.

The lake has a restaurant with amazing food, an open auditorium in which one of the local said that every Saturday shows are organised.

The weather of Haflong make it more attractive because trust me we had checked out from our hotel in morning 11 and we had our connecting bus to guwahati at 6' O clock and we moved nowhere from this place , we sat beside the lake beneath the shadows of the trees with cool Breeze around us the whole time with a mesmerizing view of the lake and the bridge infront of us and we'd food at the restaurant which was amazing.

We met local people at the lake " complete strangers " we didn't know them, they didn't knew us but everyone talked to us, told us places to visit in haflong , asked about our journey, told us about themselves and each conversation last for minimum half an hour which is rare in this current time in most of the places.
