Rachenahalli Lake — Attraction in Bengaluru

Wow!!! was my first impression when I visited this park. It is really awesome. The scenic surrounding, peace and calm park surrounding the lake is something that you can’t find easily in the cities. The lake is really huge with lot of birds having their habitat, there is also a small island kind place in the middle of the lake full of trees giving good habitat for the birds. The maintenance of the park is really good, 100% marks to BDA for this. There is a small kids play area which had all the equipments in working condition. This is such a boon for the people living in the surrounding , the park has opening and closing time that is 6 to 9 in the morning and 4 to 6 in...

Went to the lake after a long gap. Unfortunately did not carry my phone. Oh, what a view it was! That fog resting still on the surface of the lake garlanding the mini island right in the middle of the lake. The silver rays of the pearl coloured sun appearing and disappearing behind the clouds. It was worth capturing. And yeah a heron perched on a piece of wood was still and appeared to be staring right at a jogger who had stopped to take its pics.

And another good news is that the folk village or village of life size statues adjacent to the lake is open for public. 10 am to 5 pm and Rs 50 per head. That's a must go and an added attraction...

A very lovely place- joggers and walkers heaven. One full round of the lake is around 4.3 kms. Very spacious paths, play area for kids, skating ground and a pool for Ganesha immersion is also present. Ample parking space is available for two and four Wheelers. It's really a boon to those present around its vicinity especially for fitness freaks. It takes around 45 minutes to complete one round of this beautiful lake.

However be careful as there are plenty of snakes here especially during the rainy season. If a proper jogging track is made through the lake, it will be one of the best place in North Bangalore ...
