I've had the privilege of visiting the Shri Raj Rajeshwari Devi Temple in Muzaffarpur, Bihar, and I must say it's a truly divine experience. This ancient temple, established on June 28, 1941, is dedicated to Goddess Adishakti in her Shodashi form and is a significant religious site for devotees.

माँ राज राजेश्वरी देवी मंदिर, मुज़फ़्फ़रपुर

शहर के उमाशंकर प्रसाद लेन स्थित प्रसिद्ध राज राजेश्वरी देवी मंदिर उत्तर बिहार के प्रमुख शक्तिपीठों में गिना जाता हैं | इस मंदिर में सालों भर भक्तों का तांता लगा रहता हैं | शहर का शायद ही ऐसा कोई व्यापारी हो जो बिना इनके दर्शन किये दुकान खोलता हो | ऐसी मान्यता है की इस मंदिर में स्थापित माता षोडशी हर व्यक्ति की मुरादें पूरी करती हैं | नवरात्र के अवसर पर इस मंदिर में लाखों लोगो की भीड़ उमड़ती हैं | नवरात्र में सुबह एवं शाम में माता की भव्य आरती होती है जिसे देखने के लिए श्रद्धालु उमड़ पड़ते है | नवरात्र पर्यंत तो यहाँ कदम रखने की भी जगह नहीं होती हैं | हर साल यहाँ श्रद्धालुओ की भीड़ बढती जा रही है |

मंदिर की स्थापना स्थानीय धर्मानुरागी उमाशंकर प्रसाद उर्फ बच्चा बाबु ने की थी | मंदिर निर्माण से पूर्व उन्हें पांच बेटियां ही थी, बेटा नहीं हो रहा था | तब उन्हें बताया गया की माता षोडसी भक्तों की मनोकामना पूरी करती है, जिस कारण उन्हें माता की मंदिर को बनवाने की प्रेरणा मिली | इसके लिए उन्होंने पंडित निरसन मिश्रा से संपर्क किया | उनके निदेशानुसार २८ जून १९४१, आषाढ़ शुक्ल पक्ष तृतीया तिथि को देवी मंदिर की स्थापना हुई | इसके कुछ ही महीनो के बाद बच्चा बाबु को पुत्र रत्न की प्राप्ति हुई | इसके बाद से ही मंदिर के प्रति लोगो की आस्था और बढ़ गयी| मंदिर के प्रधान पंडित डॉक्टर धर्मेद्र तिवारी ने बताया की यह मंदिर बच्चा बाबु के पुत्र अमिताभ मेहरोत्रा की निजी संपत्ति है |

इस मंदिर में लोगों की आस्था बढ़ने लगी कारण की यहाँ लोगों की मन्नतें पूरी होती हैं | डॉक्टर तिवारी बताते है कि मंदिर में माता षोडसी की प्रतिमा स्थापित है जो भक्तों की मुरादें पूरी करनेवाली है | माता के इस रूप के बारे में कथा है की एक बार पार्वती जी ने शिव से दुखों से मुक्ति का उपाय पुछा तो शिव ने भगवती को षोडसी श्री विद्या साधना के बारे में बताया | कहा जाता है की महर्षि दुर्वाशा ने भी श्री षोडशी माता की अर्चन की थी | नगर के देवी मंदिर में भी भक्तों की मन्नतें पूरी होती है | मंदिर में स्थापित माता षोडशी के सोने की प्रतिमा का दर्शन के लिए प्रतिदिन स्थानीय और अन्य जिलों एवं राज्यों से आये लोगो की भीड़ जुटती है |

२८ जून १९४१ में स्थापित रमणा रोड स्थित राज राजेश्वरी देवी मंदिर भक्तों का महत्वपूर्ण केंद्र है | साधको का यहाँ सालों भर तांता लगा रहता है | चैत्र और शारदीय नवरात्र में हजारों की संख्या में भक्तों की भीड़ उमड़ती है | मंदिर में षोडशी महेश्वरी शक्ति की विग्रह वाली सिद्ध देवी हैं | आगम शास्त्र में वर्णित दस महाविद्याओं में इनका चौथा स्थान है | सोलह अक्षरी के मंत्र वाली इस देवी को सोलह भुजाएं एवं दो नेत्र है | देवी शांत मुद्रा में लेटे महादेव कि नाभि से निकले कमल के आसन पर विराजमान है | सबसे नीचे उत्तर से दक्षिण के क्रम में ब्रम्हा, विष्णु, रूद्र एवं इश्वर स्थित हैं एवं इनके ऊपर महादेव लेटे हुए हैं जिनकी नाभि से स्वागत स्वरुप कमल का फूल निकला है जिस पर माँ भगवती...
