Neatly mained with good ambiance. This is the only temple in Coimbatore for Lord Dhanvanthri. Ayush homam, mirthunjiya homam, Ganapathi homam are being performed here. In this temple the main deity is Lord Dhanvanthri who believes to cure all sickness of human. Apart from Him separate temples for Lord Ganapathi temple with Lord Subramanya, Bhagavathi Amman Uma Maheswarar , Lord Ayyappa and Lord Anjaneya are available. Ayurveda medical center is there inside the temple campus. It's a good place with peace for worship.

Dhanwantari temple located in Ramanathapuram near Olympus road . Neatly maintained private temple with proper timing morning 5 am to 12 and evening 5 pm to 8.30 pm is timing. Dhanwantari god cures disease belief and Kerala style poojas happen . It's a very very calm environment with a lot of trees around birds in the early morning and evening is a blessing to hear. Feeling relaxed on that sound . Car parking is available too . See the video attached to hear the birds sound and temple atmosphere

Beautiful temple in Kerala style. Not easy to notice from the main road. It is located in the hospital campus. Nice ambience sorrounding the temple. Devotees will get blessings of Shree Dhanvanthari, Lord Vinayaga, Lord Muruga, Lord Ayappan, Lord Shiva, Lord Hanuman, Goddess Durga, Goddess Bhagvathi and Navagraha. Also small temple for Sai Baba. Must visit temple. Very much greenery. And importantly the prasadam (pongal, coconut rice), wow! super hot and great taste....

If one is looking for either health rejuvanation or treatment of any ailment , the best place to go over the years have always been AVP ,which offers the best ayurvedic treatment In the presence of Lord Dhanvanthri The God of healing who is enshrined in a beautiful temple inside this hospital complex.

Dhanvanthri is the Hindu god of medicine and an avatar of Lord Vishnu. As per the Hindu mythology he is mentioned in the puranas as the god of Ayurveda . He, during the  Samudramanthan arose from the ocean of milk  with the nectar of immortality.According to the hindu epics ,Ramayana and Bhagavata Dhanvantari emerged from the ocean of milk with the pot of Amrut ,the nectar for immortality ,while the ocean was being churned by the devas and Asuras using the Mandara mountain as laddle and the serpent Vasuki as the rope .The pot of Amrita was snatched by the Asuras, and after this event another avatar Mohini , appears and takes the nectar back from the Asuras.

It is also believed that Dhanvantari promulgated the practise of Ayurveda through the text in Dhanvanthri Nighantu which gives complete details of medicinal plants in nature that is used to prepare ayurvedic medicines prescribed for patients .He is also a great surgeon, who taught Ayurvedic Surgery to Susrutha, the Father of Ayurvedic Surgery.

Lord Dhanwantari is the Presiding deity of Vaidyas of Ayurveda in this temple that gives a spiritual background to the Ayurvedic Tradition of Treatment in the Arya Vaidya Chikitsalayam located in this campus.

This temple is constructed as per kerala temple architecture and Vaasthu Sasthra with Lord Dhanwantari, the God of Life & Medicine as the main deity along with other deities like Maha Ganapathy , Sastha, Shiva ,Bhagavathy, krishnan , Anjaneyar ,Murugan and Navagrahas and also boasts of a majestic Dhwaja-Stampha and number of Lamps .

In this Temple Lord Dhanvanthri gives darshan with the Chakra, Sankh, Jaluka and the Amrita Kalasa in his four hands.

The temple was initially constructed by AVP to provide religious solace and a serene atmosphere to those visiting the Chikitsalayam for treatment  but over time it has become renowned for pilgrims visiting from all over the world to seek his blessings and grace .

Here Hindus worships Dhanvantari to seek his blessings for sound and robust health for themselves and for family members especially on  Dhanwantari Trayodashi. Dhanwantari Trayodashii Kumara every year is celebrated as "National Ayurveda Day" in India

Personally speaking I and my better half take an annual pilgrimage and Ayurvedic treatment for rejuvanation of our health lasting from 10 days to 21 days based on availability of accommodation (Cottages ,twin bed rooms both Ac deluxe & Ac double, Single ,double non ac & dormitories )at AVP complex .

This AVP has become so famous world over It is not surprising to see that it is patronised by people from all over India and abroad with most visiting , every year as a pilgrimage .

The spiritual atmosphere of the place can be felt by one and all by observing the trees of life around the temple. Come sun down the trees get filled with thousands of birds who come to rest for the night from far and wide and by sunrise most of them have flown off before sun rise .They fill the entire atmosphere with divine sounds abd as night falls they too fall silent .

Speaking of AVP in whose campus this temple is built was founded in 1943 by late arya vaidyan P.V Rama variar , who was a humanitarian, philosopher and physician par excellence. He was instilled with rare insight ,vision and zeal and due to his untiring efforts, AVP group of institutions are today rendering yeoman service in providing genuine ayurvedic services to the needy to people world over.

AVP also produces in house , more than 450 traditional ayurvedic medicines in its state-of-the-art manufacturing units. These medicines are prescribed by ayurvedic physicians in more than 700 centers all over india and are even sent to patients the world over.

It offers classical ayurvedic medicines and authentic...

The Sri Dhanwantari Mandir is situated in the heart of Coimbatore City in the Arya Vaidya Pharmacy Campus with the unique honour of being one of the rare temples devoted to Lord Dhanwantari in the whole world.

Lord Dhanwantari is the Upasanamoorthy (Presiding Deity) of Vaidyas of Ayurveda and this temple gives a spiritual background to the Ayurvedic Tradition of Treatment in the Arya Vaidya Chikitsalayam located in the campus.

Constructed as per Vaasthu Sasthra the Dhanwantari Temple has Lord Dhanwantari, the God of Life & Medicine as the main deity as well as other sub-deities adorning the power loci of the temple, with a majestic Dhwaja-Stampha or flag-staff. All the deities of this temple have been sanctified therein by famous Tantris and Namboodris from important temples from the adjacent state of Kerala.

The sanctity of the temple is made more powerful by the installation of the sub-deities which surround the glory of the main deity of Lord Dhanwantari. Even though the temple was started to provide religious solace and a serene atmosphere to those under treatment at the Chikitsalayam in course of time it has become renowned accepting and blessing pilgrims from all over the world.

Lord Dhanwantari is the Adhishtana Devata of Ayurveda the ancient science of Life and is considered to be an Avatar of Maha Vishnu. He is also a great surgeon who taught Ayurvedic Surgery to Susrutha the Father of Ayurvedic Surgery.

You pray to Him for your good Health with:

Achutaananda Govinda Vaishno Narayane Hari/ Rogaan May Nasisaya Aseshaan Aasu Dhanwantari Hare//

Meaning: O Lord Achyutaananda! Govinda! Vishnu! Narayana! Hari!/ Dhanwantari! cure my diseases completely and quickly//

According to legends when the Devas and Asuras were churning the Ocean of Milk with the Mandara Mountain as the churning rod and Vasuki the great serpent, as the rope with Vishnu taking the Kurma Avatar to support mount Mandara, Lord Dhanwantari rose from the Ocean of Milk with the pot of Amrit in one hand. He was Maha Vishnu incarnate and had the Divine Sri Chakra, Sankh, and Jaluka (blood sucking leech which cures one of impure blood).

When the Asuras snatched the pot of Elixir for youthful life from the Devas Maha Vishnu took the Mohini Avatar to entice the Demons away from the Ambrosia and ultimately it was consumed by the Devas.

If one has absolute belief in Lord Dhanwantari that HE can cure the Illness and Maladies of suffering persons then and THEN only would one be cured of it. There are instances of miraculous cures effected by this Benign Physician.

From where ever you are you may place your implicit faith in HIM and pray as follows: 11 times, 51 times or 108 times, both in the morning and evenings at dusk, and you will...
