The most amazing forest in Delhi that has flora, fauna, water bodies, animals and scenic beauty in the heart of Vasant Kunj (VK). Actually, VK is blessed to have such a place around in the vicinity. This is my second home and the place that gives me a total relaxation. Hours of hours of walking you can do here and every day can discover new areas, as this forest is massive. One end starts from VK side on the JNU road and the others extend upto Qutub Institutional area, near Rockland and end at the side of Mehrauli, near Qutub Minar I have been visiting this place for over 10-15 years, and every time the inquisitiveness to discover something new remains. This place has also been declared as one of the Haunted places in Delhi and the place is quiet and peaceful, although not such horrifying things have been actually seen. There are nature lovers from around the city who come with their big lenses and cameras to capture the mother nature. There are several water bodies within the complex, and the same are being maintained by Delhi Development Authority (DDA). There are security guards to that have been deployed by DDA, however, I feel to that they are not in upto their assigned responsibility, to stop people from cutting trees from the forest, and collect wood. I have apprised guards about the same, however no action has been taken against these people who are not nature conservative. I will be adding more videos to my Google review, as I have plenty of them and will also make a vlog of Sanjay Van on my YouTube channel Binge Guru.

Sanjay Van, a sprawling forest area in South Delhi near Vasant Kunj and Mehrauli, is a 783-acre urban green space known for its lush trails, historical sites, and biodiversity. It is ideal for nature walks, birdwatching, and even quiet picnics. The forest has well-marked paths lined with native trees like neem and mango, which create a dense canopy, making it a haven for over 100 bird species, including peacocks and bulbuls. Visitors can explore the historic ruins of Lal Kot, Delhi’s oldest fort, which adds an intriguing historical aspect to the park. Sanjay Van also contains a beautiful lake, Neela Hauz, which has become a favored spot for water birds and serene sunsets. Entry to Sanjay Van is free, and it’s open daily from 6:00 am to 8:00 pm. For safety, it's advisable to visit during daylight and in groups due to the dense layout of the forest, which can feel isolated in parts. The best time to visit is between October and February when Delhi's weather is cooler, making it more comfortable for exploration.

Sanjay Van Park in Delhi is an absolute gem that provides respite from the chaotic city life. As an avid nature enthusiast, I was delighted to discover this hidden treasure nestled within the urban jungle. The park boasts an impressive expanse of greenery, diverse flora and fauna, and a serene atmosphere that makes it a must-visit for all nature lovers.

The park's accessibility is a major plus point. Located in the heart of Delhi, it is easy to reach, and the ample parking space ensures a hassle-free experience. Upon entering, one is immediately greeted by a sense of calm and tranquility, as if stepping into a different world altogether.

Walking along the well-maintained trails, I was enchanted by the sheer beauty and serenity that surrounded me. The park is a haven for bird watchers, as numerous avian species can be spotted throughout the year. It's truly a delight to witness these colorful creatures in their natural habitat, making it a paradise for photographers and wildlife enthusiasts.

Sanjay Van Park offers something for everyone. Whether you're looking for a peaceful stroll amidst nature, a spot for a picnic with friends and family, or a place to engage in outdoor activities, this park has got you covered. The spacious lawns and shaded areas provide ample opportunities for relaxation and recreation.

The park authorities deserve commendation for their efforts in maintaining the park's cleanliness and ensuring a safe environment for visitors. The well-kept pathways, clean washrooms, and visible signage contribute to a pleasant experience. I also noticed dedicated staff members who were readily available to assist visitors and provide information about the park's attractions.

One of the highlights of Sanjay Van Park is its rich biodiversity. The park is home to a variety of plant species, some of which are rare and endemic to the region. Exploring the dense forests and observing the flora up close is an educational experience in itself, reminding us of the importance of preserving our natural heritage.

While visiting the park, it's essential to respect the rules and regulations set by the authorities. It's heartening to see that visitors are mindful of this, contributing to the overall peaceful ambiance of the park.

In conclusion, Sanjay Van Park is a hidden oasis within Delhi that offers a much-needed escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. It's a place where one can reconnect with nature, enjoy solitude, or spend quality time with loved ones. The park's natural beauty, serene atmosphere, and diverse wildlife make it a must-visit destination for locals and tourists alike. I wholeheartedly recommend Sanjay Van Park to anyone seeking a tranquil and rejuvenating experience amidst the...
