Gomti Lake, Dakor Located near Ranchodray ji Temple at Dakor. A lake spread over huge area. It is said that the sweet water lake was created by Bhimsen, when he was travelling with Lord Krishna. They found scarcity of sufficient quantity of sweet water was a reason for sufferings of the people and the animals living there. The lake is a place of attraction when visiting the temple of Ranchod ji. One can enjoy a beautiful evening seating at the banks of this lake.

રણછોડજીનાં દર્શન કરવા ડાકોર પધારો અને અમને તમારી મહેમાનગતિનો લાભ આપો. એમને કીધું અને મારા મગજમાં તો પ્લાન પણ બની ગયો. હું લગભગ દરેક શનિ રવિ વડોદરા હોઉં તો ક્યાંક આજુબાજુમાં જવાનો પ્લાન કરું એટલે એક શનિવારે વહેલી સવારે હું, વિજયાબેન ( અમારા અન્નપૂર્ણા) અને કાજલ ( અમારી હોમ મેનેજર) અમે ત્રણેય પહોંચી ગયા ડાકોર અને ત્યાં સંદીપભાઈ અમને સામે લેવા આવ્યા હતા અને અમારી સફર ચાલુ થઈ. હમણાંનું ડાકોર અને દ્વાપરયુગનું ડંકપુર તરીકે ઓળખાતું ડાકોર વડોદરાથી 65kms ખેડા જિલ્લામાં આવેલું છે. કહેવાય છે કે દ્રારકા મંદિરની મૂળ રણછોડજીની મૂર્તિ ડાકોરમાં છે. પ્રાચીનકાળમાં કૃષ્ણભક્ત બોડાણાની ભક્તિથી પ્રસન્ન થઈને કૃષ્ણ ભગવાન બળદગાડામાં બેસીને ડાકોર આવ્યા હતા. * ડાકોરનું રણછોડજીનું મંદિર ગોમતીનાં કિનારે આવેલું છે, આ ગોમતી તળાવ માટેની કથા પણ ભીમ સાથે સંકળાયેલી છે, * અમે એકદમ શાંતિથી ભગવાનનાં દર્શન કર્યા, મેં એમની સાથે વાતો કરી અને એમને thanks કીધુ, મગશનો પ્રસાદ લીધો, * બહાર નાનકડી બજાર છે ત્યાં વાજિંત્રો, લોખંડના વાસણ અને રમકડાં મળે છે, મેં ઢોલ અને એક હવન કુંડ ખરીદ્યું, * પછી અમે ગોમતી નદીમાં બોટિંગની મજા લીધી, * અહીંયા બીજા આજુબાજુમાં ઘણાં મંદિરો છે એ બધા મંદિરનાં દર્શન કર્યા, * ડાકોરના વર્લ્ડ ફેમશ ગોટા ગોમતી ઘાટ પાસે બેસીને ખાધા અને કચરો કચરાપેટીમાં જ નાખ્યો, * પછી અમે બધાએ ઘાટ પાસે બેસીને ગપ્પા માર્યા, સંદીપ ભાઈની ઓફિસ ગયા, એમને અમને બધાને એકદમ મસ્ત લંચ કરાવ્યું અને જબરદસ્ત મહેમાનગતિ કરી. વિજયાબેન અને કાજલ એ મને કીધું, દીદી તમારા client તો બઉ સારા છે. તો આવી હતી અમારી ડાકોરની યાદો, મજા આવી ગઈ.

the river is really in very bad condition...government needs to take some serious steps as this is not only a holy place of worshipping but nature is also getting deteriorated the way this river is contaminated. and must be noted that the whole ecosystem is ruined this way.

Main apni family ke saath recently Dakor ke Gaumti Ghat gayi thi, aur yeh ek bahut hi shantipurna aur pavitra anubhav tha. Wahaan ka mahol bahut hi sukoon bhara tha. Ghat par safai achhi thi, log apne dharmik kriyaon mein lage hue the, aur ek positive energy mehsoos ho rahi thi. Humne Thakorji ke darshan bhi kiye, aur uske baad Gaumti Ghat par thoda samay bitaya. Jal mein paon dal kar baithna, thandi hawa mehsoos karna – sab kuch bahut hi sukhad tha. Bachchon ne bhi iss trip ka bahut anand liya. Vahan par local prasadi aur kuch chhoti dukaane bhi thi jahan se humne thoda bahut prasad aur souvenirs liye. Dakor ka Gota bahot famous he... ☺️☺️ To please co jaroor purchase kijiye vaha ki bazar se... Aur rasoi ke saman bahot hi badhiya milte he .. dakor k bazar me... Vo b vaha ki bazar se hi kharidi kijiye... Shoping ka maza aayega apko dakor ki bazar me ..👍🏼 Police aur volunteers ki bhi upasthiti thi, jisse suraksha ka bhi achha ehsaas hua. Ek pavitra, shaant aur parivarik yatra jahan hume bhakti ke sath ek acchi outing ka mauka mila. Zarur recommend karungi un logon ko jo thoda spiritual aur shant anubhav lena chahte hain. Ha lekin vaha monkey bahot sare he... Jo apke hath me se kuchh b leke bhag jayege... To apna mobile aur baki chijo ka khub dhyan rakhe.... Aur monkey k liye khana... Ya fal.
