Read moreI recently had the pleasure of exploring Sakkarbagh Zoo in Junagadh, Gujarat, and I must say it was a delightful experience. Let me break down my observations for each zone:
Caged Animal Zone: Entrance Fees: The entry fee for this section is ₹15 for children below 10 years and ₹30 for adult Indian citizens. It's quite reasonable. Animal Variety: Within the caged area, I encountered an impressive array of wildlife. There were two male lions, five to six lionesses, four to five leopards, and various bird species. Additionally, I spotted a hippopotamus, deer, and even a crocodile. The enclosures were well-maintained, allowing visitors to observe the animals up close. Overall Impression: While the caged setup is typical of most zoos, the variety of animals and their relatively spacious enclosures made it an enjoyable visit.
Jungle Safari Area: Additional Booking: To explore the jungle safari, visitors need to book a bus ticket in addition to the entry fee. The bus ticket costs ₹50 for visitors above 3 years old. Wildlife Encounter: The safari area was a highlight! The lush greenery, well-designed pathways, and healthy animals created an immersive experience. I saw more wildlife here, including species not found in the caged section. It truly felt like being in the heart of a jungle. Recommendation: If you visit Sakkarbagh Zoo, don't miss the jungle safari—it's worth every rupee!
In summary, Sakkarbagh Zoo offers a balanced combination of traditional zoo exhibits and an exciting jungle safari. Whether you're a nature enthusiast or simply curious about wildlife, this zoo has something for everyone. Kudos to the team for maintaining such a beautiful and...
