A perfect place to spend the day.
Due to below mentioned places to visit, be prepared to spend full day or else you'll miss few of the sections.
Visited on Sunday and booked tickets online prior to reaching. (Smart way to save time, as ticket counters will open at 10-10.05 AM and usually there's a waiting line).
You can book tickets online, very easy and conveniently through their website.
Ticket prices are as follows -
Parking 20rs for 2/3 wheelers, 50rs for 4 wheelers.
Entry ticket - Science city campus - 50rs Entry combo - Main entry, Aquatics, Robotics - 349rs Entry Aquatics - 200rs Entry Robotics - 200rs
It's logical to book Entry combo for 349 if you're visiting first time, it'll cover everything.
All types of tickets mentioned above are available in their website (also the parking ticket).
Food stalls are available (not the best but not worst either) you can get a full dish thali, snacks, panipuri, ice cream etc. opp to Earth gallery.
I tried Panipuri for 50rs per plate, but the "pani" was worth every rupee, very fresh.
Drinking water and washroom facilities are available in both Aquatics and Robotics building (people complaining in other reviews have visited the facilities outside the buildings I guess)
Logically you should visit the nature park first, if you're visiting it in the morning. There are prehistoric statues of dinosaurs inside the nature park and some good signages. Also there is a PAID boating activity (which starts after 11AM)
Then you should hit the others, as nature park isn't inside a building (or visit it after 5 Pm, save yourself some tan, wink)
Robotics Entrance - There's a huge transformer (Optimus prime, attached picture) at the entrance.
Before the entrance and on the left side of the transformer, there's robo cafe, where you'll be served snacks by robots.
At entrance you'll find a man on a seat with a pc and there's a list of PAID activities (which aren't covered in the ticket) like Air Hockey, VR gaming etc. 100rs for 3 mins 20 secs, not bad if you want to experience VR for the first time.
In robotics, once there are enough people, above 5-10, they will guide you robot by robot to different activities on each floor. They call it touring, so all the people flocked together are guided step by step by a staff guide, once the tour starts.
Each guiding activity takes 30 - 45 mins approx time. Pretty decent as the staff explains each robot, it's functions, how and why it was made, which was pretty good.
Every hour, there's a robo dance show which is barely 5-10mins (on second floor, "Robo Natyam Hall"), guide will mention at the end of touring activity.
Aquatics - Second best after Robotics You will find all types of small to medium fishes here. There's no octopuses or dolphins here but there are sharks in the shark tunnel (see the pics)
Due to the narcissistic behavior of humans, you'll find the shark tunnel fully clogged with people taking endless selfies, so be prepared for it.
Aside from fishes, you'll find a penguin gallery on 1st floor with 3-4 penguins, also there's sea otter gallery among other fish galleries on ground floor.
All fishes looked good in health so they must be taken good care of.
Visited Earth gallery after these three. Earth gallery is okayish but pretty great if you're in for some history knowledge. You'll find biology, geology, evolution, human anatomy, agriculture, etc. There's also fun (stationary) cycle ride inside. Lifts are not working in Earth Gallery, so you will have to take stairs, as there are 3 floors.
I can write a lot more but for the rest, you should visit and see it for yourself.
