Towering personality of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel is reflected in the world's tallest statue and surroundings. A very well designed and executed monument. Exceptionally motivated local guides and employees who take pride in what they do. Particular mention is that of the memorial under the statue. One is amazed at the way the details about Sardar are brought out. Nearby places Iike valley of flowers, the jungle safari are well kept. (The jungle safari lacks e-vehicles for internal movement on one side while the other side is well served). The projection mapping on the statue of Sardar Patel was presented well. Overall a satisfying time. Lot of water points and toilets all around, but more needed to take care of the crowd. Though we visited on a hot weekday and the visitors were quite less, we still felt the need for good hygienic food and cleaner toilets and more working water points during this hot but active visitor season. The only foodplace near shreshtha Bharat bhavan bus stand did not have fan or ac and it was difficult to sit and enjoy food on such a wonderful location near the river bank. One good thing about this whole area is the pink e-rickshaws driven by local girls. To encourage more users of these, the fares should be decided based on distance and not fixed as they have to compete with the free local bus facility. The lighting on the Sardar Sarovar dam was wonderful but unfortunately the transport to and from the convenient viewing point was missing. It is a wasted effort unless there is a better place to watch it comfortably with assured transfer back to parking. More accommodation in the mid range is expected to be there in vicinity to attract those visitors who can come by...
