Dhosi Hill is an extinct volcano, standing alone in the North-West end of the Aravali mountain range with height varying from about 345 to 470 meters from the surrounding land and 1170 meters from the sea level; has temple, pond, fort and caves on the top and forest around it. It is part of Aravalli Mountain Range, that belongs to the Precambrian Malani igneous suite of rocks and have been dated at 732 Ma BP (million years before present). The hill has all the physical features of a perfect volcanic hill with distinct crater, lava still lying on it and giving a perfect conical view from top....

Amazing place to visit. But of course , you have to vigil on every step. There are few sheds & bench on the way up. Remember to carry ample water to drink. Try to start early , it gets lot hotter in day. We started our hike from entrance point at Village Thana at 7.35 am and reached top at around 8.50 am. Views from hike path are outstanding. Once you are at top, it is. really serene & calm. It has a natural water well on top. Must try. In all, you can spend a good day here. But as I said, be slow & vigil while going up & down. Don't test your body too much. Take rest when your body demands.

It's really a good Trek up. The best part is on the top of the mountain...where on a little rainy you can see clouds under your feet. The view from up there is marvellous. Nice environment, great vibes. And Maharshi Chayavan's Aashram is also there in the valley between the mountains. He is the one who created Chayavanprakash. #Jai_baba_ki

Dhosi Hill is an extinct volcano and is among the seven volcanoes of India. It is a part of Aravali range and belongs to Precambrian malani suite of rocks which dates back to 732 Ma BP(million years before present). It is located at an elevation of 1170m. There are volcanic slopes, lava etc. are still clearly visible. This place is surrounded by three villages i.e. Dhosi which belongs to Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan and Kultajpur and Thana villages of Mahendergarh District of Haryana, thus Dhosi Hill is at Haryana Rajasthan border. The main point of Narnaul and from, here you need to take autos towards Dhosi which you will get from Honda Chowk. Don't visit here during summer as it is very hot. Good time after August till March. When you visit here, do carry enough water and food as there are no shops on the hill. Also carry first aid as you might slip or get bitten by any bee or reptiles. Make sure that you come down by 4:30PM as you won't get vehicle after that or better if you are carrying your own vehicle. Dhosi hill is a pilgrimage site and people from far off places come here to pray. There are fairs organized. There are temples. There is a fort which dates back to time of Hemu, who built it. It is also said to be the place of Chyavan rishi who made Chyavanprash here. There are natural caves, forests and several poisonous reptiles,...

We went to dhonsi ka pahad in the month of November. The weather was pleasant so we enjoyed the ride to this place. The mountain is in Narnaul region of Rajasthan state. It has great historical significance which we didn't knew before arriving at a resort in narnul. The guys from the resort told us everything about the history of Narnaul and Dhonsi ka pahad and chayavan rishi along with many other amazing facts. All in all, if you're looking for a one day picnic, a bike ride to some place close to NCR with some offroading adventures, it can be a great spot for you. The mountain trek is a treacherous journey to the top, however once you make it to the top, the view is simply breathtaking. It's the crator of an extinct volcano 🌋 and there's a well on the top of it which is a great source of cold water to chill out after a strenuous journey. One thing is for sure, if you love adventure and are bored of the popular destinations near NCR, you should certainly try Narnaul. Also, there are some other great monuments as well...

The hill is in Narnaul District. Takes time to reach via road (Bike at 50-60km/hr). Better to visit as early as possible, preferably early Morning. The hill is steep, mostly only youngsters would be able to climb, the crater of the pre-Cambrian eruption has temples comparitively recently built and renovated. The entire course of climb, defend, climb & defend would take atleast 2-3 hours + any roaming around on the top of hill, to search hemu's fort remains would add up another 1.5 - 3.5 hours. Considering the historic value, not bad to visit. The roads from Delhi to Narnaul are better most of the times. Beware of taking wrong route via Mahendragarh, take Delhi, Rewari, Narnaul route (shortest according to...
