Birds Hostel and Nomadic Dalhousie - True to the name it indeed is a nest to the birds. And all kinds of them. Build amidst the mountains, surrounded by beautiful deodar trees, you do feel like a winged creature among the lushness of greens, serenity of the morning sunlight, chirping of heavenly winged friends. The nomadic spirit is infused into this basera by the owners of this place. Though I couldn't meet Arun during my stay, I did have the opportunity to interact with Nitin Chobhiyal. And what a host he has been. Rather I should call him a friend now. We just hit it off from the very first day. Being on a solo trip for the first time, I couldn't have asked for a better guide than him. And to all who doesn't know, he is Chamba ka no. 1 guide and trekker 😁. And does live up to the name. Well I can go on and on about my experience here at Birds hostel. But that perhaps in my travel vlog someday. Though this place and people here will always hold a special place in my heart. Read moreFar away from Main Dalhousie. Approx. 7kms away from the main city. Place is good for solo travelers and for backpackers. But recommend to visit this place from April to Nov. Dec to March extremely cold and unbearable winter. Heater charges are 300/- per day. They also give you hot water bag at Rs. 30/- They have tents too. Born fire and restaurant is nice. But nonveg good is over priced. It's better to eat outside and come here. Nothing nearby. This is located on the hill so you have to take a good walk to climb up. Stairs are rash and dangerous, be careful....
