One should essentially carry water bottle along. At the start point, walking sticks (Lathi) are available at rent which helps in trekking. Many fruit, snacks, juice and chocolate vendors are available in the first 300m. The views along the trek are awesome and in the last 100m one can experience cool chilling winds and sometimes clouds also pass by. Trekking should be done in a relaxed way, taking rest and drinking water. At the endpoint Pohlani Mata temple has marvelous views. Every penny of the climbing effort turns into a joyful experience. Darshan at the temple gives a spiritual satisfaction. There are food stalls and Toilets at the temple complex. Photography can be done during the trek and at the temple complex. This is the highest point of Dalhousie. We went in end April, but people say this turns into a heaven during the winter snowfall. Must visit opportunity and the trek can be done even by senior citizens with little difficulty. It takes about 75 minutes to ascend and 30 minutes to descend. It is not deserted but there are many families and groups along the trek. It is totally safe and free. The whole track of the Trek is stone cemented. Hope...
