This review is about the light and sound show at Golconda Fort... Man this is something you shouldn't miss...
I live so nearby to Golconda fort... been there for couple of times... not to mention the picturesque of the grand fort and the tourists clicking pictures lift right and center... and someone trying to hold the tip with fingers... the old way of taking pictures... I was also lost in that for so many years... Recently I have been to the light and sound show at Golconda Fort... as we accompanying one of my visiting friend but to our fortune the visiting time was over... at 5:30pm we were at Golconda and the security guards gently and politely said no more visitors in their own hyderabadi style... But when we insisted that we want go and see they suggested us to go for the light and sound show... I'm aware of it but never been... at least to have some good points from my friend I said we will go and see this show... 6:15pm the gates were opened and we bought the tickets... an hour long show... and a beautiful time travel... the story... the voices... the placement of the speakers... the audio panning... the lights on the sturdy rocks... man it was amazing and all at a cost of 80 Rupees or 140 Rupees for executive or elevated seating...
The sound echoed through the rocks... it felt as if the left over fort came to life and it's telling what had happened... the music... Started with jagjit sigh Ghazal and "Ek gulshan tha jalwanuma" I thought it's not for me... but later as the narration started... and the story emerged... telugu poetry and sufi songs kicked in... I was no more in 2022... i was traveling in the past... the apt lights show you where to look and make you focus on the fine details of Golconda fort... It's an amazing experience...
the staff were so generous that they had provided odomos or else we had to fight our own battle with the mosquitos who were invading and interrupting our extra ordinary experience...
What else to say... I highly recommend to go to this show... as this summarizes what Golconda or Hyderabad stands for... the influences of Telugu, Urdu, sufi and to Marathi are well portrayed as they were well blended in the background Music...
I came out with a great experience... Hope you will have a good time too... let me know how you felt in the...

Calm, cool, clean, well maintained fort with the ruins of Mughal emperors of Bahamani Sultan Dynasty ruling Deccan Plateau. Inside, on a hill Fort looks quite modern with hydraulic ducts for water management, cultivation, drinking etc. Bhaktha Ramadasu was imprisoned here by the Mughals, but shifted to Bhadrachalam after his staunch bhakthi of Rama. The acoustic is a wonder where near the entrance even a handkerchief is waved persons, troops, kings, queens used to get the effect of this for safety purposes. Even clippings, whispering, foot movements are heard above the fort. The troops used to stay in disguise with keeping an eye on enemy presence but when the enemies climb to the fort, warriors pour boiled oil on them from their hiding places to protect the Royal family. The tomb of Kutub Shahi is also a worth visiting place & also a giant tree. The sound & Light programme is very nice & must participate for visitors with good seating arrangement in open auditorium with sound quality being superb and light targeted to locations of fort. But the mosquito menace is unbearable but visitors have to bear. Must visit place for children, visitors...
